First, Or Forgotten?

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
(Holy Bible, Matthew 6:33, KJV)

Is God really first in our lives, or is He forgotten?  "Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number."
(Holy Bible, Jeremiah 2:32, KJV)

Are we too tired from staying up too late the previous evening, so we hit the snooze button on the alarm clock several times in the morning?  Then do we jump out of bed, get dressed, jump in the car with our breakfast in our hands?  Do we weave in and out of traffic, rushing to work so we will not be late?  Is our only prayer that morning that God would get that crazy slow driver out of our way so that we are not late to work?

Daniel is a good example of a man who put God first.  "Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime."
(Holy Bible, Daniel 6:10, KJV)

David did the same thing. "Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice."
(Holy Bible, Psalm 55:17, KJV)

Is God really first in our lives?  Or is He forgotten?
