Were Satan and the demons ever saved?

Question:

I have read in one of your comments that you cannot lose your salvation, my question is how did Satan and 1/3 of the Angels lose their salvation and was put out of heaven?

Answer:

Satan and his angels were never saved. God created angels and mankind (Adam and Eve) with no sin. Genesis 1:31, 2:1 says, “And God saw EVERY THING THAT HE HAD MADE, AND, BEHOLD, IT WAS VERY GOOD. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.”Continue reading

What are “familiar spirits” and what do they do?

Question:

What are “familiar spirits” and what do they do?

Answer:

A “familiar spirit” is a demon. It is defined as “a spirit or demon that serves or prompts an individual” (Merriam Webster’s 7th New Collegiate Dictionary). Demons serve or prompt people to do evil, and to go against the commands of God. There are several references in the Bible to “familiar spirits,” and they are all in a bad sense.Continue reading

Can a Christian be demon-possessed?

Question:

Can a Christian have a demon spirit in them?

Answer:

No, because we have someone abiding in us who is stronger than Satan or the demons. Matthew 12:25-29 says, “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.  Or else HOW CAN ONE ENTER INTO A STRONG MAN’S HOUSE, and spoil his goods, EXCEPT HE FIRST BIND THE STRONG MAN? and then he will spoil his house.”Continue reading

Can people cast out demons by their own power?

Question:

DO WE HUMANS HAVE THE ABILITY TO CAST OUT DEMONS?

Answer:

II Timothy 2:24-26 says, “And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of THE SNARE OF THE DEVIL, who are TAKEN CAPTIVE BY HIM AT HIS WILL.” Unsaved people can be taken captive by the devil at his will, so people cannot cast him out by their own power.Continue reading

Is all temptation from the devil, and how was the devil ever tempted, if heaven is a perfect place?

Question:

I know that when we are tempted to do wrong, it is the devil attacking us. I also understand how the devil came into existence as being a fallen angel. When he tried to overthrow God in heaven, the Heavenly Father threw Lucifer out of heaven with 1/3 of the angels. My question is this, since heaven is a perfect place, always has been and always will, who tempted Lucifer into believing he could overthrow God? Just thinking that he could do that was sin. Who or what tempted him into thinking that he could do such a thing?Continue reading
