At what age can a child get saved? When is a child saved? At what age? Where can I
find it in Scripture? If the parents sin, is the child lost if he should die?
A
child can get saved when he or she is old enough to understand that he/she is a lost
sinner, and in need of Jesus the Savior. Galatians 3:26 says, "For ye are all THE
CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23 says, "For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of
sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 10:13,14 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a
preacher?" A child can get saved whenever he/she is old enough to hear the gospel
message, and understand that he/she is a lost sinner in need of the Savior.
