If Jesus is God, then why does He call the Father "God?"

    If Jesus is the God why He ask help from God - refer this (elloy elloy lama sabaktani) "O God O God why you leave me (in his death)?"

  Matthew 27:45,46 says, "Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME?"

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are One, and yet three distinct persons. I John 5:7 says, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: AND THESE THREE ARE ONE."

Not only did Jesus refer to the Father as "God," but the Father also referred to Jesus as "God." Hebrews 1:8 says, "BUT UNTO THE SON HE SAITH, THY THRONE, O GOD, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom." So they both call each other "God."

When Jesus took upon Himself our sins as He hung on the cross, He was separated from the Father during those three hours of darkness. While Jesus suffered on the cross, He suffered all the attributes of hell for us: the darkness, the pain, the thirst, the separation, etc. I Peter 2:24 says, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree."

Have you repented of your sins, and asked the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you and save you? John 14:6,7 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him." Matthew 11:28,29 says, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."
