Is Jesus
Christ equal with God the Father?
Is Jesus Christ Equal to God the Father?
.
.
Yes, Jesus is God, so He indeed is equal.
Consider the following Scriptures.
John 5:17,18 says, "But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh
hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only
had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself EQUAL WITH
GOD."
Philippians 2:5,6 says, "Let this mind be in you, which was also
in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be EQUAL WITH
GOD."
John 10:28-33 says, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they
shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave
them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I
AND MY FATHER ARE ONE. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered
them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye
stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for
blasphemy; and because that THOU, BEING A MAN, MAKEST THYSELF GOD."
Isaiah 9:6 says, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is
given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Matthew 1:23 says, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and
shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted
is, GOD WITH US."
Hebrews 1:8 says, "But UNTO THE SON HE SAITH, THY THRONE, O GOD,
is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."
Revelation 1:8 says, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY."
Micah 5:2 says, "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be
little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is
to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, FROM EVERLASTING."
Psalm 90:2 says, "2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or
ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING, THOU
ART GOD."
Isaiah 43:10,11 says, "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my
servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:
BEFORE ME THERE WAS NO GOD FORMED, NEITHER SHALL THERE BE AFTER ME. I, EVEN I, AM THE
LORD; AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO SAVIOUR."
I John
5:20 says, "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an
understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in
his Son JESUS CHRIST. THIS IS THE TRUE GOD, and eternal life."
John 14:6-9 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. IF YE HAD KNOWN ME, YE SHOULD HAVE
KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO: AND FROM HENCEFORTH YE KNOW HIM, AND HAVE SEEN HIM. Philip saith
unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been
so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? HE THAT HATH SEEN ME HATH
SEEN THE FATHER; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?"
Jesus is very clearly shown to be God Almighty in the flesh. Have you
received the true Jesus of the Bible? Galatians 1:6-9 says, "I marvel that ye are so
soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which
is not another; but THERE BE SOME THAT TROUBLE YOU, AND WOULD PERVERT THE GOSPEL OF
CHRIST. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now
again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be
accursed." If your trust is in a "Jesus" that is only "a god,"
(not God Almighty, but a lesser "god"), then you are yet lost in your sins, and
headed for hell. John 8:24 says, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in
your sins: for IF YE BELIEVE NOT THAT I AM HE, YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS."
