    What happens to your soul at death, the saved and the wicked person’s soul?

  For the person who has trusted Jesus Christ as personal Savior, it is to be instantly with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:8 says, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be ABSENT FROM THE BODY, and to be PRESENT WITH THE LORD." Jesus told the repentant thief on the cross in Luke 23:43, "And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, TO DAY SHALT THOU BE WITH ME IN PARADISE."

    The unsaved person will immediately find himself in pain in torment in hell. Luke 16:22,23 says, "And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments."
