At what age can a child get saved?

q.gif (1639 bytes)   When is a child saved? At what age? Where can I find it in Scripture? If the parents sin, is the child lost if he should die?

a.gif (1659 bytes)   A child can get saved when he or she is old enough to understand that he/she is a lost sinner, and in need of Jesus the Savior. Galatians 3:26 says, "For ye are all THE CHILDREN OF GOD BY FAITH in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 10:13,14 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" A child can get saved whenever he/she is old enough to hear the gospel message, and understand that he/she is a lost sinner in need of the Savior.

Sinning parents do not determine the eternal destiny of a child. Ezekiel 18:20 says, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. THE SON SHALL NOT BEAR THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHER, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
