a.gif (1659 bytes)   Job was not a king, but he had boils on his feet. (He was not a king in the normal sense, but he did refer to himself as like a king in Job 29:21-25, "Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel. After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them. And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain. If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down. I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners.")  Job 2:7 says, "So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown."

I Kings 15:23 tells us about King Asa being diseased in his feet. "The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet."

II Chronicles 16:12 tells us the sad story, "And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians." Asa had been a godly king, but when he made a mistake and was rebuked, he did not take it humbly. II Chronicles 16:10 says, "Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time."

Have you humbly come to Christ in repentance, and asked Him for forgiveness? Matthew 18:3,4 says, "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
