Is it a sin to worry?

q.gif (1639 bytes)     Is worrying or worry a form of sin ?

a.gif (1659 bytes)   Yes, worrying is sin. I Peter 5:7 says, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." We are not to WORRY about things, but we are to PRAY about them. Romans 14:23 says, "For whatsoever is not of faith is sin."

When we WORRY, we are depending upon our own ability to handle situations (and doubting whether we can), but when we PRAY, we are depending upon God’s ability to handle things. We know that no situation is too hard for God to handle. Luke 1:37 says, "For with God NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE." So be sure to PRAY — NOT WORRY.

Philippians 4:6,7 says, "Be careful for nothing; but IN EVERY THING BY PRAYER and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And THE PEACE OF GOD, which passeth all understanding, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS through Christ Jesus."
