HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Why do you celebrate Halloween?
HAPPY
DECORATIONS?
Are you happy when there are spiders
and cobwebs in your house?
All year long when you see a spider in
your house — you kill it.
When you see a cobweb hanging down
from the ceiling — you get a broom and remove it.
BUT ON HALLOWEEN — you purposely put
cobwebs in your windows, and huge black spiders on them.
Does that really make you
happy?
Would it make you happy if your son
hung the skeleton of a once-beloved family pet in the yard?
Or would it make you happy if you
could hang the skeleton of an ancestor on your porch?
BUT ON HALLOWEEN — you purposely hang
skeletons in your yard and on your porch.
Does that really make you
happy?
Why do you celebrate Halloween?
HAPPY
DEMANDS?
Are you happy when people come to your door
pressuring you to give?
All year long, you try to teach your
children that it is rude to ask people for candy — let alone
demand
it.
If they offer a treat, that is one
thing to politely accept it — but never
beg
or
demand.
If you ever heard that your children
were getting candy because they were threatening people, you would be
aghast, and would immediately make them cease; and you would apologize
to all of those people.
BUT ON HALLOWEEN — you actually take
your children door-to-door to threaten people: “TRICK (do you want me to
do a mischievous trick on you?) OR TREAT (or are you willing to give in
to my demands and give me candy — LOTS of CANDY!)”
Does that make you
happy?
Why do you celebrate Halloween?
HAPPY
DANGERS?
All year long you teach your little children
to never accept candy from strangers.
BUT ON HALLOWEEN — you actually take
your children to the homes of dozens of people that you do not know
personally, and encourage them to take all the candy from them that they
will give.
Does it make you
happy,
putting your children in that possible danger?
Why do you celebrate Halloween?
HAPPY
COSTUMES?
You try to teach your children to grow up and
live honest, respectable lives.
BUT ON HALLOWEEN — you encourage them
to dress up like
dark,
sinister
people or creatures, and take on their role.
Does that make you
happy?
Why do you celebrate Halloween?
You want your house to be clean and pest
free.
You want your children to be polite —
not beggars or bullies.
You want your children to be cautious
around strangers.
You want your children to grow up to
live honest and respectable lives.
Then why do you celebrate Halloween,
which teaches your children that it is fun to go against what you teach
them the rest of the year?
Have you ever thought about the differences between Halloween and
Christmas?
On Halloween, people go around
demanding gifts
(candy).
On Christmas, people go all around
shopping and
giving gifts
to others.
See the difference?
On Halloween, children dress up in dark,
spooky outfits.
On Christmas, children dress up as
angels, shepherds, wise men, and mothers with their newborn babies.
See the difference?
On Halloween,
darkness
and
scary
scenes are emphasized.
On Christmas,
beautiful lights
are lit everywhere, dispelling the darkness.
See the difference?
The night before Halloween is called
Devil’s Night,
when many people are stirred up to commit arsons and other crimes.
The night before Christmas is to
thousands of people a
Holy Night,
as they gather with their families in their homes to read about the
birth of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
See the difference?
Happy Halloween?
Did you realize that Halloween goes against
everything that you are trying to teach your children about how to live
a happy life?
By the way, do you
really know
what brings happiness?
Has your
car
or
home
brought you
real happiness?
No, those things have only brought you
deep debt.
Jesus said, “Take heed, and beware of
covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the
things which he possesseth” (Holy Bible, Luke 12:15, KJV).
How have so many people been deceived into thinking that Halloween is
happy?
It is the same cause why so many
people spend their lives pursuing evil things, like alcohol, immorality,
and drugs.
“And the DEVIL that deceived them was
cast into the lake of fire and brimstone”
(Holy Bible, Revelation 20:10, KJV).
Is that where you want to spend
eternity — in torment with the one that deceived you?
“And whosoever was not found written
in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire”
(Holy Bible, Revelation 20:15, KJV).
Quit wasting your life doing things that only
hurt you.
Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but
for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might
have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”
(Holy Bible, John 10:10, KJV).
Repent of your sin and come to Jesus
now.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and
thou shalt be saved”
(Holy Bible, Acts 16:31, KJV).
“Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out” (Holy Bible, Acts 3:19,
KJV).
“Dear Lord Jesus, I do believe that you are
the Son of God; that you are God Almighty in the flesh, the Creator of
heaven and earth.
I do believe that you are the only
Savior; that you died on the cross for me, and gave your precious blood
to pay my sin debt; and then you arose from the grave the third day.
I do now repent of my sins, and
receive you as my Savior.
Please forgive me, and save my soul.
Please raise up my life from sin and
shame, and use it now for your glory.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
Yes,
I just asked
the Lord
Jesus
Christ
to save me,
and I desire to now live for Him.
