Check It Out! Seven False Ideas About Hell
False Idea #1
“There is not literal fire in hell.”
Jesus said that there is literal fire in
hell.
“It is better for thee to enter into life maimed,
than having two hands to go INTO HELL, INTO THE FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE
QUENCHED”
(Holy Bible, Mark 9:43, KJV).
“The rich man also died, and was buried;
And IN HELL he lift up his eyes, being in
torments, ...I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME” (Holy Bible, Luke 16:22-24, KJV).
You, too, will experience that
flame
if you do not repent and get saved.
False Idea #2
“Hell is only temporary.”
Jesus described hell as a place of
everlasting
— not
temporary,
punishment.
“Depart
from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE”
(Holy Bible, Matthew 25:41, KJV).
Abraham told the rich man in hell that there was
no way for him to ever get out and go to heaven.
“Between us and you there is a great gulf
fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; NEITHER CAN
THEY PASS TO US, THAT WOULD COME FROM THENCE” (Holy Bible, Luke 16:26, KJV).
You, too, will spend
eternity
in hell, unless you repent and get saved.
False Idea #3
“Hell is a place to party.”
There are no parties with drinking and dancing and
immorality in hell — no pleasure, just pain — no water, just thirst.
The rich man in hell “Cried and said,
Father Abraham, HAVE MERCY ON ME, and SEND LAZARUS, that he may DIP THE TIP
OF HIS FINGER IN WATER, AND COOL MY TONGUE; for I AM TORMENTED IN THIS
FLAME”
(Holy Bible, Luke 16:24 KJV).
Unless you repent of your sin and get saved, you will
thirst for ever
in hell.
False Idea #4
“I would not feel at home in heaven,
because my friends are in hell.”
If you have friends or relatives in hell, they are pleading that someone be
sent to you to tell you how to be saved.
The rich man in hell said, “I pray thee therefore,
father, that thou wouldest SEND HIM TO MY FATHER’S HOUSE:
For I have five brethren; THAT HE MAY
TESTIFY UNTO THEM, LEST THEY ALSO COME INTO THIS PLACE OF TORMENT”
(Holy Bible, Luke 16:27, 28 KJV).
If you have friends and relatives in hell, they are begging that someone be
sent to warn you before it is too late —
this is your warning
to repent and get saved.
False Idea #5
“God is too loving
to send people to hell.”
God does love you, and has made a way for you to
be saved, but if you love your sin so much that you will not repent and turn
to Him, then please notice that YOU are ALREADY CONDEMNED at this very
moment.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
(Holy Bible, John 3:16, 18, KJV).
You will never be able to blame God if you end up
in hell.
God loved you enough to get this information to you.
Will you now repent and get saved?
False Idea #6
“If your good works outweigh your bad, then you will not go to hell.”
“There is NONE GOOD BUT ONE, that is, GOD” (Holy Bible, Matthew 19:17, KJV).
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER
KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, ye that work iniquity.” (Holy Bible, Matthew 7:22,
23, KJV).
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was CAST INTO THE
LAKE OF FIRE” (Holy Bible, Revelation 20:15, KJV).
False Idea #7
“The devil torments people in hell.”
The devil will not torment anyone in hell, because
it was a place created to torment him.
“Depart from me, ye cursed, into
everlasting fire, PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL and his angels”
(Holy Bible, Matthew 25:41, KJV).
“And the DEVIL that deceived them WAS CAST
INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet
are, AND SHALL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND EVER”
(Holy Bible, Revelation 20:10, KJV).
You will share in the
same place of torment as the devil,
unless you repent and get saved.
The Decision Is
Now
In Your Hands
“Therefore HELL HATH ENLARGED HERSELF, and opened her mouth without
measure...”
(Holy Bible, Isaiah 5:14, KJV).
Will you or one of your friends or family
be the next one cast into hell?
Accept
the gift of salvation through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“But as many as received him, to them gave
he power to become the sons of God,
even
to them that believe on his name” (Holy Bible, John 1:12,
KJV).
“Dear Lord Jesus, I do believe that you are the
Son of God; that you are God Almighty in the flesh, the Creator of heaven
and earth.
I do believe that you are the only Savior;
that you died on the cross for me, and gave your precious blood to pay my
sin debt; and then you arose from the grave the third day.
I do now repent of my sins, and receive you
as my Savior.
Please forgive me, and save my soul.
Please raise up my life from sin and shame,
and use it now for your glory.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
