The order of the Books are read in a chronological fashion, that is, you will read the Books that deal with the same time periods together. This will especially help you in the Old Testament, where the Books are arranged as to type, such as History, Prophecy, etc. Some of those Books talk about the same people, and reading them in this order will help you understand that.
