Question:
Does God allow remarriage???? if death has not happened!
Answer:
Thank you for your question. The Bible answers it in Romans 7:2,3, “For the woman which hath an husband is BOUND BY THE LAW TO HER HUSBAND SO LONG AS HE LIVETH; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then IF, WHILE HER HUSBAND LIVETH, SHE BE MARRIED TO ANOTHER MAN, SHE SHALL BE CALLED AN ADULTERESS: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.” The Bible repeats the same thing in I Corinthians 7:39, “The wife is BOUND BY THE LAW AS LONG AS HER HUSBAND LIVETH; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.”
The Bible is clear that God only allows remarriage if the person’s mate has died, and then permission is only granted to marry another Christian.
I have a question for you. Do you have a personal relationship with the One who will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”)? That One is Jesus.
