Islam – Part 3

Chapter 1

#14 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Moses did not throw down the Ten Commandments and break them, but just laid them down on the ground, and then later picked them back up again.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 7:150, “HE PUT DOWN THE TABLETS, seized his brother by (the hair of) his head, and dragged him to him.” So the Quran says that when Moses came down from the mountain and saw the golden calf and the dancing, he just put down the stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments, and then he grabbed Aaron by the hair and dragged him over to them.  There is no mistaking that the Quran teaches that Moses did NOT break the stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments, because the Quran continues on to say, in Surah 7:154, “When the anger of Moses was appeased, he TOOK UP the Tablets: in the writing thereon was Guidance and Mercy for such as fear their Lord.”

1. The Bible clearly tells us what happened in Exodus 32:15-16, “And __________ turned, and went ________ from the __________, and the two ____________ of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were ______________ on both their __________; on the one side and on the other were they written. And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the ______________ of ______, graven upon the tables.” 2. Exodus 32:19 says, “And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he ______ the ________, and the _______________: and Moses’ __________ waxed hot, and he ________ the ____________ out of his hands, and _________ them beneath the mount.”

Moses was not able to pick up the stone tablets containing Ten Commandments

and go on his way, because he had broken them. Other passages confirm that fact.

3. Exodus 34:1 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses, ______ thee two ____________ of stone ________ unto the __________: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou ______________.” 4. Exodus 34:4 says, “And he __________ two ____________ of stone ________ unto the __________; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.” 5. Later on, in Deuteronomy 9:17, Moses would testify, “And I took the two ____________, and ________ them out of my two hands, and __________ them before your eyes.”

This shows us the unity of the entire Bible, and how it safeguards from people

trying to corrupt one passage, because another passage gives witness to the truth.

6. Proverbs 30:5-6 says, “Every ________ of God is ________: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. ______ thou ______ unto his __________, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a _________.”

Note: You do not have to be a Hebrew or Greek scholar to prove the cultists or the liberals wrong. All you have to be is a faithful reader of the Bible. One passage will confirm another. God has built such a safeguarding into the Scripture, so that no one can corrupt a passage, without being found out as a liar. Such is the case with Muhammad and the Quran. They are caught and condemned by other passages of Scripture.

#15 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that every time a plague fell upon the Egyptians, they repented.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 7:133-134, “So we sent (PLAGUES) on them… EVERY TIME THE PENALTY FELL ON THEM, they said: ‘O Moses! on our behalf call on thy Lord in virtue of His promise to thee: IF THOU WILT REMOVE THE PENALTY FROM US, WE SHALL TRULY BELIEVE in thee and we shall send away the Children of Israel with thee.” Each time that a plague came, did Pharaoh really say that he would let the children of Israel go, if only Moses would take the plague away? No, that is not true.

Pharaoh did not repent when the water was turned into blood.

He simply went into his house and ignored the whole thing.

1. Exodus 7:19 says, “And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the ____________ of Egypt, upon their ______________, upon their ____________, and upon their __________, and upon all their __________ of water, that they may become __________; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.” 2. Exodus 7:20-23 says, “And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the ____________ that were in the river were turned to __________. And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and ___________________ heart was ________________, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said. And Pharaoh turned and ________ into his __________, neither did he ______ his __________ to this also.”

Pharaoh did not repent when the plague

of the dust turning into lice came upon them.

3. Exodus 8:16-19 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the ________ of the land, that it may become ________ throughout all the land of Egypt. And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt. And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and __________________ heart was ________________, and he hearkened ______ unto them; as the LORD had said.”

Pharaoh did not repent when the plague

of the cattle dying came upon them.

4. Exodus 9:1-7 says, “Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still, Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy ____________ which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain. And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel. And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To ____________ the LORD shall do this thing in the land. And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the ____________ of Egypt ________: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one. And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the __________ of ______________ was ________________, and he did not let the people go.”

Pharaoh did not repent when the plague

of the boils came upon them.

5. Exodus 9:8-12 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of __________ of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. And it shall become small ________ in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a ________ breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt. And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians. And the LORD hardened the heart of ______________, and he __________________ ______ unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.”

Note: So for almost half of the plagues, Pharaoh did not even pretend to repent. Remember what Muhammad said in the Quran in Surah 5:82? “… nearest among them in love to the Believers wilt thou find those who say, ‘We are Christians’: because amongst these are MEN DEVOTED TO LEARNING and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.” Muhammad’s own words come back to haunt him, because when we are devoted to learning the Word of God, we quickly find out that Muhammad’s words contradict the Bible in many places.

Islam – Part 3

Chapter 2

#16 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar’s wife tore Joseph’s shirt from the back (side).

Note: The Quran says in Surah 12:21-29, “The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: ‘Make his stay (among us) honourable… thus did We establish Joseph in the land…’ But she in whose house he was, sought to seduce him… So they both raced each other to the door, and SHE TORE HIS SHIRT FROM THE BACK…”

1. The Bible says in Genesis 39:7-9, “And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s ________ cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, ______ with me. But he ______________, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and ______ against ______?”

2. The Bible says in Genesis 39:10-12, “And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened ______ unto her, to ______ by her, or to be ________ her. And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. And she ____________ him by his ______________, saying, Lie with me: and he ________ his ______________ in her hand, and fled, and got him out.”

No where does the Bible say that she ripped his shirt.

The Bible makes it clear that he got out of his garment

(which she had grabbed), and got away.

3. Genesis 39:13-18 says, “And it came to pass, when she saw that he had ________ his ______________ in her ________, and was fled forth, That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he ________ his ______________ with me, and fled, and got him out. And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home. And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he ________ his ______________ with me, and fled out.”

Note: There is also another error in the Quran in regard to Joseph and Potiphar’s wife.

#17 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar was right outside the door when his wife was chasing Joseph inside the house.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 12:21-29, “The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: ‘Make his stay (among us) honourable… thus did We establish Joseph in the land…’ But she in whose house he was, sought to seduce him… So they both raced each other to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back…: THEY BOTH FOUND HER LORD NEAR THE DOOR. She said: ‘What is the (fitting) punishment for one who formed an evil design against they wife, but prison or a grievous chastisement?’” Is this what the Bible teaches happened there? No.

1. Genesis 39:16 says, “And she laid up his garment by her, __________ his ________ came ________.”

Note: The Bible makes it clear that Potiphar was not home, and that his wife laid Joseph’s garment by her until her husband arrived there. The Quran contradicts this.

#18 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar believed Joseph — not his wife.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 12:21-29, “She said: ‘What is the (fitting) punishment for one who formed an evil design against they wife, but prison or a grievous chastisement? He said, ‘It was she that sought to seduce me… And one of her household saw (this) and bore witness, (thus)— ‘IF IT BE THAT HIS SHIRT IS RENT FROM THE FRONT, THEN IS HER TALE TRUE, AND HE IS A LIAR! BUT IF IT BE THAT HIS SHIRT IS TORN FROM THE BACK, THEN IS SHE THE LIAR, AND HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH!’ SO WHEN HE SAW HIS SHIRT — THAT IT WAS TORN AT THE BACK — (HER HUSBAND) SAID: ‘BEHOLD! IT IS A SNARE OF YOU WOMEN! Truly mighty is your snare!’” Is this what the Bible teaches, that Potiphar actually believed Joseph, not his wife? No, the opposite is true.

1. Genesis 39:19-20 says, “And it came to pass, when his ____________ heard the __________ of his ________, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. And Joseph’s master took ______, and ______ him into the ____________, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.”

#19 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar rejected his wife’s plea that Joseph be cast into prison, and, instead, was angry with her and made her apologize to Joseph.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 12:21-29, “So when he saw his shirt — that it was torn at the back — (her husband) said: ‘Behold! It is a snare of you women! Truly mighty is your snare! O JOSEPH, PASS THIS OVER! (O WIFE), ASK FORGIVENESS FOR THY SIN, FOR TRULY THOU HAST BEEN AT FAULT!’” That is the exact opposite of what the Bible teaches.

#20 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Joseph did end up in prison, but by his own choice, when later given a command by Potiphar’s wife to be immoral with her, or choose to go to prison (and he chose prison).

Note: The Quran says in Surah 12:30-35, “Ladies said in the City: ‘The wife of the (great) Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave from his (true) self… we see she is evidently going astray. When she heard of their malicious talk, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them… and she said (to Joseph), ‘Come out before them.’ When they saw him, they did extol him… ‘This is none other than a noble angel!’ She said; ‘There before you is the man about whom ye did blame me! I did seek to seduce him from his (true) self but he did firmly save himself guiltless! AND NOW, IF HE DOTH NOT MY BIDDING, HE SHALL CERTAINLY BE CAST INTO PRISON… He said: ‘O my Lord! THE PRISON IS MORE TO MY LIKING THAN THAT TO WHICH THEY INVITE ME…’ Then it occurred to the men… (that it was best) to imprison him for a time.” So in the Quran, it is not Potiphar’s wife telling a lie that Joseph tried to accost her. It is Potiphar’s wife being talked about by the other ladies in town as to her immoral tendencies, so to silence their talk, she hosts a banquet where she has Joseph come out before all of her lady friends. There, in front of them all, she gives Joseph a choice — obey her command to be immoral with her, or go to prison. Joseph thus chooses prison, rather than be immoral with Potiphar’s wife. So Potiphar’s wife gets her revenge, by Joseph being cast into prison. That is adding a totally fabricated story to the Scriptures, and denies what the Bible clearly says happened.

So in the matter of this one account in the life of Joseph,

the Quran makes FIVE CONTRADICTIONS to the Biblical account.

Note:   Remember what Muhammad had claimed about the Quran, in Surah 3:3-4? “It is He who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book (the Book here is referring to the Quran), …confirming what went before it, and He sent down the Law (of Moses) (referring to the Old Testament) …and the Gospel (of Jesus) (referring to the New Testament) Before this, as a guide to mankind?”  Does the Quran confirm what was written in the Old and New Testaments? No, the Quran contradicts what was written in the Bible. Remember the warning that God gave?

2. Revelation 22:18-19 says, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall ______ unto these things, God shall ______ unto him the ______________ that are written in this book: And if any man shall ________ ________ from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall ________  ________ his part out of the ________ of ________, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Islam – Part 3

Chapter 3

#21 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Jesus Was Not Crucified.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 4:157, “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’ — BUT THEY KILLED HIM NOT, NOR CRUCIFIED HIM, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for OF A SURETY THEY KILLED HIM NOT.”

Muhammad denied that Jesus was actually crucified, and said

that it was just a fabrication that made it appear that He was killed.

Muhammad goes on to say that those who actually believe in the crucifixion of Jesus are full of doubts, and only conjecture as to what followed. Remember, Muhammad claimed that his writing, the Quran, confirmed the writings of the Old and New Testaments (Surah 3:3-4). “It is He who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book (the Book here is referring to the Quran), …confirming what went before it, and He sent down the Law (of Moses) (referring to the Old Testament) …and the Gospel (of Jesus) (referring to the New Testament) Before this, as a guide to mankind…” Is that true? Muhammad denied the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Does the Bible deny it, or does it confirm it?

1. Romans 5:6-8 says, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time ____________ ________ for the ______________. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, ____________ ________ for ____.”

2. Romans 5:9-10 says, “Much more then, being now __________________ by his __________, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were ____________________ to God by the __________ of his ______, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

3. Romans 10:8-10 says, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the ________ __________, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath ____________ him from the ________, thou shalt be __________. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

4.   1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the ____________ which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are __________, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that ____________ ________ for our ________ according to the scriptures; And that he was ____________, and that he ________ again the __________ day according to the scriptures.”

If there was no sacrificial death for us by Jesus Christ,

then there would be no salvation.

5. Ephesians 1:7 says, “In whom we have ____________________ through his __________, the ______________________ of ________, according to the riches of his grace.”

6. Colossians 1:14 says, “In whom we have ____________________ through his __________, even the ______________________ of   ________.”

7. Revelation 1:5 says, “And from __________ ____________, who is the faithful witness, and the __________ begotten of the ________, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and ____________ us from our ________ in his own __________.”

8. Revelation 5:8-9 says, “And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the ________, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast __________, and hast ________________ us to God by thy __________ out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.”

The Quran denies the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and calls it a fabrication,

but the Bible repeats it as a fact over and over again.

9. John 19:15-19 says, “But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be __________________. And -they took __________, and led him away. And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they __________________ him, and two other with him, on either side one, and __________ in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the __________. And the writing was, __________ OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

The facts are very clear that Jesus hung on that cross and died.

Special care is taken to note the medical proofs that

Jesus’ physical body had indeed died upon the cross.

10. John 19:28-30 says, “After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When __________ therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is ________________: and he bowed his head, and ________ ____ the __________.”

11. John 19:31-35 says, “The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. But when they came to __________, and saw that he was ________ already, they brake not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear ______________ his ________, and forthwith came there out __________ and __________. And he that saw it bare record, and his ____________ is ________: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might ______________.”

Note: The Bible makes special note that blood and water came out of His side when His body was pierced. It emphasizes that fact as being very important so that people might believe. What was so special about it, and what did it prove? When people have congestive heart failure, they start having trouble with fluid building up in parts of their bodies, because the heart has lost some of its ability to pump, and thus circulate, their blood. It was medical proof that Jesus’ heart had stopped, because His blood had already separated into water, and into the heavier parts.

God knew that people would come along later and say that Jesus had just

passed out on the cross, and that He later revived in the coolness of the tomb.

God knew that people would come up with all sorts of excuses to deny the crucifixion

and resurrection, so God had this one soldier do something that would prove medically

that Jesus’ body had indeed died on the cross. That is why this point is noted

so carefully, and emphasized so that people would believe.

What God so carefully confirmed, Muhammad so clearly denied. Remember what he wrote in the Quran? Surah 4:157 says, “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’ — BUT THEY KILLED HIM NOT, NOR CRUCIFIED HIM, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for OF A SURETY THEY KILLED HIM NOT.”

What the Bible so clearly proved so that people might believe,

Muhammad so clearly denied.

Because of the contradiction in the Quran about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, Muhammad then made this conclusion, in Surah 4:159, “And there is none of the People of the Book but MUST BELIEVE IN HIM BEFORE HIS DEATH.”

So Muhammad said that to be saved,

you have to believe in a Jesus that did not die.

Here are notes from a highly respected Muslim translator who translated the Quran into English: Surah 4:157 says, “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’ — BUT THEY KILLED HIM NOT, NOR CRUCIFIED HIM, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for OF A SURETY THEY KILLED HIM NOT.”

Note on the Quran, Surah 4:157, by the highly respected Muslim translator, Abdullah Yusuf Ali: “The end of the life of Jesus on earth is as much involved in mystery as his birth, and indeed the greater part of his private life, except the three main years of his ministry. It is not profitable to discuss the many doubts and conjectures among the early Christian sects and among Muslim theologians. THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN CHURCHES MAKE IT A CARDINAL POINT OF THEIR DOCTRINE THAT HIS LIFE WAS TAKEN ON THE CROSS, THAT HE DIED AND WAS BURIED, THAT ON THE THIRD DAY HE ROSE IN THE BODY with his wounds intact, and walked about and conversed, and ate with his disciples, AND WAS AFTERWARDS TAKEN UP BODILY TO HEAVEN.”

“THIS IS NECESSARY FOR THE THEOLOGICAL DOCTRINE OF BLOOD SACRIFICE

AND VICARIOUS ATONEMENT FOR WHICH IS REJECTED BY ISLAM.

THE QURANIC TEACHING IS THAT CHRIST WAS NOT CRUCIFIED NOR KILLED BY THE JEWS…”

“…notwithstanding certain apparent circumstances which produced that illusion in the minds of some of his enemies; that disputations, doubts, and conjectures on such matters are vain; and that he was taken up to Allah.”

The same translator comments on the next verse: Surah 4:158 says: “Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise — And there is none of the People of the Book but MUST BELIEVE IN HIM BEFORE HIS DEATH…”

Note on the Quran, Surah 4:158 by the highly respected Muslim translator, Abdullah Yusuf Ali: “There is difference of opinion as to the exact interpretation of this verse. The words are: The Jews did not kill Jesus, but Allah raised him up (rafa’a) to Himself.”

“ONE SCHOOL HOLDS THAT JESUS DID NOT DIE

THE USUAL HUMAN DEATH, BUT STILL LIVES IN THE BODY IN HEAVEN,

WHICH IS THE GENERALLY ACCEPTED MUSLIM VIEW.”

“Another holds that he did die (5:120) but not when he was supposed to be crucified, and that his being ‘raised up’ unto Allah means that instead of being disgraced as a malefactor, as the Jews intended, he was on the contrary honoured by Allah as His Messenger.”

Note: So there you have it from the Quran, and from their most respected Muslim translator.

The Muslim’s Jesus is not the Son of God. He is not God Almighty in the flesh.

He did not die on the cross for the sins of mankind. He was not resurrected

from the grave the third day. So it is readily clear that the Jesus that the Muslims

teach about is a FALSE JESUS and a FALSE CHRIST. That leaves the Muslims with

no gospel and no way of salvation (the word gospel means good news — see 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

Islam – Part 3

Chapter 4

#21 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Jesus Was Not Crucified. (continued)

12. Romans 1:15-17 says, “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the ____________ to you that are at Rome also. For I am ______ ______________ of the ____________ of ____________: for it is the power of God unto __________________ to every one that __________________; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

Note: Remember what Muhammad wrote in the Quran in Surah 4:157? “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’ — but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and THOSE WHO DIFFER THEREIN ARE FULL OF DOUBTS, WITH NO (CERTAIN) KNOWLEDGE, BUT ONLY CONJECTURE to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.” Muhammad said that those people who believe that Jesus died and rose again are full of doubts with no certain knowledge of those events, but just conjecture. The word conjecture means, “supposition: inference from defective evidence; a conclusion deduced by guesswork” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). So Muhammad says that there is no clear witness that Jesus died and rose again. That is a clear contradiction to what the Bible says.

13.   1 Corinthians 15:1-8 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the ____________ which I preached unto you, which also ye have ________________, and wherein ye __________; By which also ye are __________, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that ____________ ________ for our ________ according to the scriptures; And that he was ____________, and that he ________ again the __________ day according to the scriptures: And that he was ________ of ____________, then of the ____________: After that, he was ________ of above ________ ______________ brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was ________ of __________; then of ______ the ________________. And last of all he was ________ of ____ also, as of one born out of due time.”

That sounds like a pretty impressive list of people that saw

the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. If they are all to be considered as

of doubtful character, then all of the New Testament must be cast aside,

because these men were the ones that God used to record the New Testament.

Note: How could Muhammad have written that the Quran was “…confirming what went before it, …the Law (of Moses) (referring to the Old Testament) …and the Gospel (of Jesus) (referring to the New Testament)” (Surah 3:3-4), when he calls the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ false events? How could he write a book which he claimed confirmed the Bible, when, in fact, his book clearly contradicted the Bible in so many passages?

#22 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that salvation can be lost.

Note: The Quran says in Surah 4:137, “THOSE WHO BELIEVE, THEN REJECT FAITH, THEN BELIEVE (AGAIN) AND (AGAIN) REJECT FAITH, and go on increasing in Unbelief — Allah will not forgive them nor guide them on the Way.” Muhammad wrote that people can be saved, but then reject faith and be lost. After that, they can believe again and be saved, but if they then reject the faith, then God will not forgive them after that. At that point, Muhammad said that God will not even guide them in the way (to be saved). So with Muhammad, a person has two chances at being saved and after that, God will not save him again.

Every system of a works salvation has the possibility of salvation being lost.

That is not true salvation, but a false religious system. True salvation can never be lost,

because it does not depend upon our righteousness, but upon Jesus’ righteousness.

1.   2 Corinthians 5:19-21 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not ________________ their ____________________ unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made ______ to be ______ for ____, who knew no sin; that ____ might be made the __________________________ of ______ in him.”

Note: What does it mean that God does not impute our trespasses unto us? The word impute means, “to lay the responsibility or blame” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). When we repent of our sins and by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, God does not hold us responsible for the penalty of our sins anymore — that penalty was paid for us when Jesus died on the cross. It is not that God is just deciding to ignore our sins, and give us a break this time. The fact is that Jesus fully paid the penalty for our sins when He died on the cross. He knew no sin, and so he could give His pure, sinless blood on our behalf on the cross.

2.   1 Peter 2:21-24 says, “For even hereunto were ye called: because ____________ also ________________ for ____, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did ____ ______, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his ______ ________ bare ______ ________ in his ______ ________ on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Note: Any religious system that teaches that salvation can be lost, is teaching a type of works salvation, which is a false plan of salvation.

3. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by __________ are ye __________ through __________; and that ______ of ____________________: it is the gift of God: ______ of __________, lest any man should boast.”

Some religious systems teach that you must receive the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved,

but then if you commit a sin of a certain level, then you lose your salvation. They maintain

that they are not teaching a works salvation, but the fact is that they are. In their system,

Jesus saves them; but to keep saved, they must keep on doing good works, and not sin.

That is not a true and complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but a 50/50 venture.

The first 50 is trusting Christ to take away their sins, and the second 50 is their living right.

Thus, their salvation is not fully dependent upon Jesus sacrifice on the cross,

but also upon their ability to continue on living right after they are saved.

Note: These groups do not really understand sin (that sin is not only doing bad things, but also not doing the good things that we should).

4. James 4:17 says, “Therefore to him that knoweth to do ________, and doeth it ______, to him it is ______.”

Note: Because of this, we may not sin through murdering someone today, but we may very well sin by passing someone by that we should do something good for today.

5.   1 John 1:8 says, “If ____ ______ that we have ____ ______, we ______________ ourselves, and the __________ is _____ in ____.”

Islam – Part 3

Chapter 5

#22 – The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that salvation can be lost (con’t.)

Note: What happens when we do sin?

6.   1 John 2:1-2 says, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye ______ ______. And if any man ______, we have an ________________ with the Father, __________ ____________ the __________________: And he is the ________________________ for our ________: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

It is God’s will that we not sin. When we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father.

An advocate is “one that pleads the cause of another” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

That advocate is said to be “Jesus Christ the righteous.” Jesus pleads on our behalf

based upon His righteous — not ours. Our righteousness is very incomplete and lacking.

7. Isaiah 64:6 says, “But ____ are ______ as an ______________ thing, and all our ______________________________ are as ____________ rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” 8. Ecclesiastes 7:20 says, “For there is not a ________ man upon __________, that doeth ________, and ______________ not.”

Note: 1 John 2:2 said, “And he is the PROPITIATION for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

The word propitiation means, “to gain or regain the favor or goodwill of; to appease”

(Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). So it is the pure, righteous blood

of the Lord Jesus Christ that gains us favor with God and appeases

or satisfies God’s holiness and righteous demands.

This is why a Christian can never lose his salvation — because it is always based upon the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 John 2:1-2 says, “And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins…”  So then what keeps a Christian from going out and sinning like he pleases? The chastisement of God.

9. Hebrews 12:5-6 says, “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the ____________________ of the ________, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the ________ loveth he ____________________, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

Note: The word chasten means, “to correct by punishment or suffering; to discipline; to prune; to cause to be more humble or restrained” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). It says in that verse that God “scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” The word scourge means, “to whip; to inflict pain or punishment” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). This is a great incentive for a Christian to not go off into sin, because if the Christian does, the Lord is going to come after him and discipline him. But for all those religious groups that teach that salvation can be lost when a believer sins, there is no quick incentive to come back to God and get right with Him. In their thinking, God has turned His back on them when they sinned; and so they might as well enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, before they decide to get right with God again.

In Muslim teaching, you can believe, then reject God; and then believe again.

But after that point, they teach that if you reject God again, then God will not forgive you

(God will not guide you back to salvation nor save you again). That contradicts the Bible,

which teaches that if you could lose your salvation, then it would be impossible to ever get it back.

10. Hebrews 6:4-6 says, “For it is _____________________ for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, ____ they shall ________ ________, to __________ them again unto ____________________; seeing they ______________ to themselves the Son of God ____________, and put him to an open shame.”

Note: Those verses are very clear that if a person could lose his salvation, then he could never get it back, because he would be crucifying the Son of God afresh. It would be like putting Jesus back on the cross again, and that is not going to happen. He died for sinners once, and there is no need to do it again.

11. Hebrews 9:28 says, “So ____________ was ________ ______________ to bear the ________ of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

If people could lose their salvation when they sin, then Jesus

would be constantly losing His children, but the Bible says that is not the case.

12. John 6:37 says, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that ____________ to ____ I will in ____ wise ________ ______.” 13. The next two verses say, “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of ______ which he hath given me I should ________ ______________, but should raise it up again at the last day” (John 6:38-39).

Jesus promised to never cast out any of His children, and He promised to never

lose any of His children. When you understand true salvation, that makes perfect sense,

because our salvation is totally dependent upon Jesus’ righteousness, not our own frail flesh.

Summary: Remember what we have seen about Islam?

Muhammad noticed that there was something special about Christians: #1 — That Christians do not hate their enemies, but love them and want to see them converted. #2 — That Christians are people devoted to learning. #3 — That Christians are people who are willing to love God more than the world. #4 — That Christians are people who are humble and attribute all glory and praise to God. As you consider those four points, and the present state of contemporary, worldly Christians and churches, you will begin to see why Islam has risen up as an adversary. It is time for Christians and churches to get on their knees, repent of their sin, and to be different from this old world. If you are a part of the contemporary church today, then you are part of the reason that Islam so despises Christians today.

Also, remember that those people who say that Muslims and Christians worship the same God, are either ignorant of the truth, or else they know the truth, and are trying to deceive people. Here are just some of the matters where the Quran contradicts the Bible. #1 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the naming of the animals. The Quran says that God named the animals, and then taught Adam what the names were. That is false. The Bible says that God let Adam name the animals. #2 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the object of true worship. The Quran says that God told the angels to bow down to Adam. That is false. The Bible makes it clear that people and angels are only to bow down before God. #3 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the matter of Satan’s rebellion. The Quran teaches that Satan’s fall was that he would not bow down to Adam. That is false. The Bible makes it clear that Satan’s fall was that he wanted to exalt himself above God’s throne. #4 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the place of elevating the animals. The Quran teaches that when animals die, they return to their Lord. That is false. The Bible is clear that when animals die, they return to the dust. #5 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the fact that God has made a distinction between the “kinds” that cannot be broken. The Quran teaches that when certain people broke the Sabbath day, God turned them into apes and swine. That is false. The Bible is clear that God has ordained a clear distinction in the “kinds,” and He himself would not break that. The Bible teaches that the punishment for breaking the Sabbath was the death penalty. #6 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the way that husbands are told to treat their wives. The Quran ends up by saying that husbands can beat their wives (lightly). That is false. The Bible says that husbands are to love their wives as themselves. #7 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the matter of remarriage after a previous divorce and subsequent remarriage to someone else. The Quran teaches that a man can remarry his wife that he has divorced, if she first goes out and remarries another man, and he then divorces her. That is false. The Bible is clear that it is an abomination for a man to remarry his former wife, if either, or both of them have remarried since their divorce. #8 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the matter of the Person of Jesus Christ. The Quran says it is blasphemy to say that Jesus is the Son of God, God Almighty in the flesh. That is not blasphemy. The Bible is clear that Jesus is the Son of God, God Almighty in the flesh. #9 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the matter of dealing with thieves. The Quran teaches that the hands of thieves are to be cut off. That is false. The Bible says that thieves are to make restitution (to pay back) for their crimes. #10 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the matter of instructing that all unbelievers be killed. That is false. The Bible tells us to love our enemies, and to pray that they might be saved. #11 — The Quran contradicts the Bible in the matter of saying that both the Bible and the Quran are the Word of God, and then contradicting that. #12 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by teaching that Abraham’s father was “Azar,” instead of “Terah.” #13 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Pharaoh’s men performed miracles first, and then Moses and Aaron copied them. That is false. The Bible makes it clear that Moses and Aaron called upon God to do the miracles first, and then Pharaoh’s men tried to copy them. #14 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Moses did not throw down the Ten Commandments and break them, but just laid them down on the ground, and then later picked them back up again. That is false. The Bible is clear that Moses was angry when he saw the golden calf and the dancing, and that he threw down the stone tablets and broke them. #15 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that every time a plague fell upon the Egyptians, they repented. That is false. The Bible makes it clear that Pharaoh hardened his heart after many of the miracles. #16 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar’s wife tore Joseph’s shirt from the back (side). That is false. The Bible is clear that Joseph simply fled and left his garment in her hands. #17 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar was right outside the door when his wife was chasing Joseph inside the house. That is false. The Bible makes it clear that Potiphar was gone at the time, and his wife waited until he got back home. #18 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar believed Joseph — not his wife. That is false. The Bible makes it clear that the opposite was true. #19 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar rejected his wife’s plea that Joseph be cast into prison, and, instead, was angry with her and made her apologize to Joseph. That is false. The Bible is clear that Potiphar cast Joseph into prison. #20 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Joseph did end up in prison, but by his own choice, when later given a command by Potiphar’s wife to be immoral with her, or choose to go to prison (and he chose prison). That is false. That is a fabricated story with no basis in Scripture. #21 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Jesus was not crucified. That is false. The Bible repeats the fact of Jesus being crucified, over and over, and makes it clear that the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross is the basis of our salvation. #22 — The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that salvation can be lost one time, and then regained. That is false. The Bible is clear that salvation cannot be lost, and that if it could be, then it could never be regained again.

    10. And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he ________ his garment with me, and fled out.”

    11. The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar was right outside the ________ when his wife was chasing Joseph inside the house.

    12. Genesis 39:16 says, “And she laid up his garment by her, __________ his lord came ________.” The Bible makes it clear that Potiphar was not home, and that his wife laid Joseph’s garment by her until her husband got home. The Quran contradicts this.

    13. The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar believed ____________ – not his wife.

    14. Genesis 39:19-20 says, “And it came to pass, when his master heard the __________ of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. And Joseph’s master took ______, and put him into the ____________, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.”

    15. The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Potiphar rejected his wife’s plea that Joseph be cast into prison, and, instead, was angry with her and made her __________________ to Joseph.

    16. The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that Joseph did end up in prison, but by his own ____________, when later given a command by Potiphar’s wife to be immoral with her, or choose to go to prison (and he chose prison).

    17. So in the matter of this one account in the life of Joseph, the Quran makes ________ contradictions to the Biblical account.

    18. The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that __________ was not crucified.

    19. Romans 5:6-10 says, “For when we were yet without strength, in due time ____________ ________ for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, ____________ ________ for us.”

    20. If there was no sacrificial death for us by Jesus Christ, then there would be no __________________.

    21. Ephesians 1:7 says, “In whom we have redemption through his __________, the ______________________ of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

    22. Revelation 1:5 says, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and ____________ us from our sins in his own __________.”

    23. The Quran denies the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and calls it a ______________________, but the Bible repeats it as a ________ over and over again.

    24. John 19:15-19 says, “But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be __________________. And they took Jesus, and led him away. And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they __________________ him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the __________. And the writing was, __________ OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

    25. The facts are very clear that Jesus hung on that cross and died. Special care is taken to note the medical ____________ that Jesus’ physical body had indeed died upon the cross.

    26. But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was ________ already, they brake not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his ________, and forthwith came there out __________ and __________. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might ______________.”

    27. God knew that people would come along later and say that Jesus had just passed out on the cross, and that He later revived in the coolness of the tomb. God knew that people would come up with all sorts of excuses to deny the crucifixion and resurrection, so God had this one soldier do something that would _________ medically that Jesus’ body had indeed ________ on the cross. That is why this point is noted so carefully, and emphasized so that people would believe.

    28. What God so carefully confirmed, Muhammad so clearly denied. Remember what he wrote in the Quran? Surah 4:157 says, “That they said (in boast), ‘We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah’ — but they killed him ______, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him ______.”

    29. Because of the contradiction in the Quran about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, Muhammad then made this conclusion, in Surah 4:159, “And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him ____________ his death.”

    30. The highly respected Muslim translator, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, commented on Surah 4:157, and said, “The orthodox Christian churches make it a CARDINAL POINT of their DOCTRINE THAT HIS LIFE WAS TAKEN ON THE CROSS, THAT HE DIED AND WAS BURIED, THAT ON THE THIRD DAY HE ROSE IN THE BODY with his wounds intact, and walked about and conversed, and ate with his disciples, AND WAS AFTERWARDS TAKEN UP BODILY TO HEAVEN. THIS IS NECESSARY FOR THE THEOLOGICAL DOCTRINE OF __________ SACRIFICE AND VICARIOUS ATONEMENT for which is ________________ BY ISLAM. The Quranic teaching is that Christ was not crucified nor killed by the Jews…”

    31. The Muslim’s Jesus is not the Son of God. He is not God Almighty in the flesh. He did not die on the cross for the sins of mankind. He was not resurrected from the grave the third day. So it is readily clear that the Jesus that the Muslims teach about is a __________ Jesus and a __________ Christ. That leaves the Muslims with no gospel (the word gospel means “good news), no way of salvation (see 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

    32. 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the ____________ which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye __________; By which also ye are __________, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ ________ for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was ____________, and that he ________ again the __________ day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above ________ hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of ______ the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”

    33. The Quran contradicts the Bible by saying that __________________ can be lost.

    34. Every system of a works salvation has the possibility of salvation being lost. That is not true salvation, but a false religious system. True salvation can never be lost, because it does not depend upon our righteousness, but upon __________ righteousness.

    35.   2 Corinthians 5:19-21 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their ____________________ unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be ______ for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the __________________________ of God in him.”

    36. What does it mean that God does not impute our trespasses unto us? The word impute means, “to lay the responsibility or blame” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). When we repent of our sins and by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, God does not hold us responsible for the penalty of our sins anymore — that penalty was ________ for us when Jesus ________ on the cross.

    37. Some religious systems teach that you must receive the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved, but then if you commit a sin of a certain level, then you lose your salvation. They maintain that they are not teaching a works salvation, but the fact is that they are. In their system, Jesus saves them; but to keep saved, they must keep on doing good works, and not sin. That is not a true and complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but a ____/____ venture.

    38. What happens when we do sin? 1 John 2:1-2 says, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an ________________ with the Father, Jesus Christ the __________________: And he is the propitiation for our ________: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

    39. It is God’s will that we not sin. When we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father. An advocate is “one that pleads the __________ of another” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). That advocate is said to be “Jesus Christ the righteous.” Jesus pleads on our behalf based upon His __________________ — not ours. Our righteousness is very incomplete and lacking.

    40. So then what keeps a Christian from going out and sinning like he pleases? The ________________________ of God.

    41. Hebrews 12:5-6 says, “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the ____________________ of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord ____________ he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

    42. The word chasten means, “to ______________ by punishment or suffering; to discipline; to prune; to cause to be more humble or restrained” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). It says in that verse that God “scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” The word scourge means, “to whip; to inflict pain or punishment” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). This is a great incentive for a Christian to ______ go off into sin, because if the Christian does, the Lord is going to ________ after him and discipline him.

    43. In Muslim teaching, you can believe, then reject God; and then believe again. But after that point, they teach that if you reject God again, then God will not forgive you (God will not guide you back to salvation nor save you again). That contradicts the Bible, which teaches that if you could lose your salvation, it would be ____________________ to ever get it back.

    45. John 6:37 says, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in ____ wise ________ ______.”
