Welcome to Book 4 in the Examining Bible Translations series of the Liberty Bible Course. This booklet deals with Part 2 of the examination of the New International Version (NIV). This study is written to be used with the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, otherwise your answers are going to be incorrect. Please get your Bible, and begin another exciting study in God’s Word, that just might change your life!

Chapter 1

 

B. Some verses are partially missing from the NIV (continued).

 

#2 — 1 John 5:7

KJV (King James Version)    –   “For there are __________ that bear record in heaven, the ____________, the ________, and the ________   __________: and these three are ______.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “For there are three that testify.”

NWT (New World Translation — Jehovah’s Witnesses)   –   “For there are three witness bearers.”

Note:   Did the translators of the NIV think that the Jehovah’s Witnesses did a more accurate translation of the Bible than did the KJV translators? Why did the NIV translators follow the Jehovah’s Witnesses so closely in their changes? We know why the Jehovah’s Witnesses made this change, because they do not believe in the Trinity (that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all God, and yet One). What was really behind the translation of the NIV?

 

This change erases one of the strongest verses dealing with the Trinity.

We know that the devil does not want people to believe in the Trinity,

because he knows that if he can get people to think that Jesus is not God,

then he has deceived them, and they will be cast into hell one day.

 

    1. Jesus said in John 8:24, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall ______ in your ________: for if ye believe not that I am ____, ye shall die in your sins.”
2. Go back to verse 19 of that same chapter, and you will see more about the “he.” “Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known ____, ye should have known my ____________ also.”
3. Further information is seen in John 14:7, “If ye had known ____, ye should have known my ____________ also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have ________ him.”
4. Philip is a little confused about what Jesus has said, so Jesus makes it very clear in John 14:8-9, “Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen ____ hath seen the ____________; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”

 

Many people say that Jesus was a good man or a good prophet, but they do not

believe that Jesus is God. The Bible makes it clear that no one is good, except God.

 

    5. Matthew 19:16-17 says, “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is ________   ________ but ______, that is, ______: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”

Note:   The Jewish leaders certainly understood that Jesus was not just making Himself out to be a good man or a prophet. They understood clearly that Jesus was saying that He was God.

    6. John 10:32-33 says, “Jesus answered them, Many ________   __________ have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for __________________; and because that thou, being a ______, makest thyself ______.”

Note:   So the NIV translators removed a very key portion of this verse, proving that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, are three, and yet One.

 

C. Some verses are denied as authentic in the NIV.

 

#1 — Mark 16:9-20

 

Note:    Strangely, the NIV translators left these verses in the text — while at the same time strongly urging people that they should not be there! After doing such, what reader would take heed to what is written?  The following note by the translators is found right between verses 8 and 9, with wide spaces, thus making sure that all readers see it clearly before going on to verse 9.

In the 1978 edition of the NIV, it says:

“The two most reliable early manuscripts
do not have Mark 16:9-20.”

In the 1984 edition of the NIV it says:

“The earliest manuscripts and some other
ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20.”

These notes are not little side notes in the margin, or at the bottom of the page. These notes are right in between the verses, so that as you are reading the verses, you have to read these notes. Who would believe the following 12 verses after reading such bold notes?

 

    1. Is this not exactly what Satan did in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3:1? “Now the ______________ was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, ________ God ________…?”

 

If these 12 verses were left out of the Bible, as the NIV

translators recommend, look how the Book of Mark would end.

 

    2. Mark 16:8 says, “And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they ________________ and were amazed: neither ________ they ______   __________ to any man; for they were ____________.”

Note:   Can you imagine a Book of the Bible ending in a such a way, leaving the disciples in a state of fear and disobedience? Compare that to the Scriptural ending of the Book.

    3. Mark 16:19-20 says, “So then after the ________ had ____________ unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and ________________    __________   __________, the Lord ______________    ________   ________, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

Note:   What a contrast the endings are! The NIV translators suggested that the disciples were left in fear and disobedience — afraid to say anything to anyone about the Lord. How would the church have ever grown with such disobedience?  But note how the Bible (KJV) really ends the Book of Mark — with the Lord speaking to His disciples, and then they going forth preaching the Word of God everywhere, and seeing the Lord work with them and confirm the truth of His Word. What a contrast between the NIV and the KJV!

    4. Which ending is Scriptural according to 2 Timothy 1:7? “For ______ hath not given us the spirit of ________; but of __________, and of love, and of a __________ mind.”

 

#2 — John 7:53-8:11

 

Note:   The translators did the same thing with this passage — they left it in, but then strongly urged that it should not be there!   The following note is inserted right in the text between verses 52 and 53, with a wide space on each side of it, to make it impossible for the reader to miss.

In the 1978 edition of the NIV, it says:

“The earliest and most reliable manuscripts
do not have John 7:53-8:11.”

In the 1984 edition of the NIV it says:

“The earliest manuscripts and many other ancient
witnesses do not have John 7:53-8:11”

If the most reliable manuscripts did not have this passage in them, then why did the translators include it here in the text? Why did the translators totally remove other verses, but then handle this passage this way? Why did they not just put a note like this on every other verse that they removed?  We do not know their personal reasoning in these matters, but we do know the reasoning of Satan.

    1. Ephesians 6:11 says, “Put on the whole ____________ of God, that ye may be able to stand against the __________ of the devil.”

Note:   The word wiles means “a trick or stratagem intended to ensnare or deceive; skill in outwitting.” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary)

 

The devil is very tricky. In some instances, he wants certain information totally removed

— so that people do not even contemplate such things (like that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God,

1 John 5:7; or that no one can be baptized until he/she is saved, Acts 8:37). In other instances,

though, the devil wants certain passages left in, but great doubt placed upon them. What is the purpose

of that? To place the idea in people’s minds that not all of what appears in the Bible is necessarily true.

 

Note:   This passage is very important, because it teaches us how to properly make judgment calls when it seems that the worst culprits have successfully skirted the law, while leaving others to face the consequences.

    2. John 8:4 says, “They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in ________________, in the very ______.”

Note:   A person cannot commit adultery alone — so where was the man? Why was the man not also brought before Jesus for judgment? Because it is obvious that the whole thing was a set-up for the sole purpose of trapping Jesus.

    3. Leviticus 20:10 says, “And the ______ that committeth ________________ with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the ________________ and the ____________________ shall surely be put to death.”
4. John 8:5-6 says, “Now Moses in the ______ commanded us, that such should be ___________: but what sayest ________? This they said, ________________ him, that they might have to ____________ him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.”

Note:    Obviously the man was not brought because he was in on the whole scheme. These religious hypocrites were used to hiring people to commit sin for them.

    4. Luke 20:19-20 says, “And the chief ______________ and the ____________ the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them. And they watched him, and sent forth __________, which should __________ themselves ________ men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.”

Note:   The word feign means, “to give a false appearance.” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary)  The word just means, “full, true, righteous.” (Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary)  So these men were hired to pretend to be righteous. Even so, the men who had devised this whole scheme of adultery were really as wicked, or more so, than those who took part in it.

    5. John 8:7 says, “So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without ______ among you, let him __________ cast a __________ at her.”

Note:   It was the responsibility of those who witnessed a crime to cast the first stones.

    6. Deuteronomy 17:6-7 says, “At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. The hands of the __________________ shall be __________ upon him to put him to __________, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.”

Note:   These men, beginning at the oldest, realized that they were just as guilty for what had taken place as the woman (they had planned the whole thing and no doubt hired the man to commit the sin with her).

    7. John 8:9 says, “And they which heard it, being __________________ by their own ____________________, went out one by one, beginning at the ____________, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.”
8. John 8:10-11 says, “When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, __________ are those thine ________________? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and ______   ____   ________.”

 

This passage does not approve of sin, but teaches us an important principle

about using the Word of God to convict the real masterminds of the sin.

The woman was allowed to go freely, because the Law demanded at least two

witnesses for a person to be stoned, and none of the men were willing to

stay and testify, because they were just as guilty.

 

Note:   Have you ever heard of a court case where it seemed that the real criminal was released, and the real victim was condemned? Yes, we have all heard of those situations. To remove this passage would be to remove great insight as to how to handle such situations.

Chapter 2

 

D. Some verses are changed and corrupted in the NIV.

 

#1 — Proverbs 25:23

KJV (King James Version)    –   “The __________ wind ______________    ________ rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “As a north wind BRINGS RAIN, so a sly tongue brings angry looks.”

NWT (New World Translation — Jehovah’s Witnesses)   –   “The wind from the north BRINGS FORTH as with labor pains A DOWNPOUR; and a tongue [giving away] a secret, a denounced face.”

Note:   This verse is covered in detail in BC-E-124, page 5. Please refer to that Bible Course for more information.  Notice how the NIV translators followed the same error as the Jehovah’s Witnesses. The NIV translators have made a false statement. The KJV is correct — when the north wind begins to blow, it drives the rain away. Please see the mentioned Bible Course to see the proof of that from testimony around the world, and from weather sources.
This does not mean that only the south wind brings rain. We may get storms from the west, or south, or east that bring rain, but when you see the wind switch to the north, it will begin to drive the rain away.

 

All of the new Bible translations in English which were consulted for this study,

have made this same error. If you cannot trust God to know how the weather

really works, then how could you ever trust Him with your soul?

 

    1. Psalms 148:7-8 says, “Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and ________;    ________, and ____________; stormy ________ fulfilling his ________:”

Note:   The Bible says that the weather fulfills God’s Word. That tells you that these modern translations are not God’s true Word, because they have made a clearly false statement about the weather.

    2. 1 Timothy 6:20-21 says, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and ______________________ of science ______________ so called: Which some professing have __________ concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.”

Note:   This next section deals with where the translators changed names to pronouns. By one estimate, the NIV translators removed God’s name and replaced it with a pronoun at least 136 times.

 

#2 — Matthew 6:33

KJV (King James Version)    –   “But seek ye first the kingdom of ______, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Note:   The word in the Received Text is Theos, the Greek word for God. Did the translators update Old English here in this passage? No, they changed the name God, to his — those are two different words.

 

#3 — Matthew 13:36

KJV (King James Version)    –   “Then __________ sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

Note:   The word in the Received Text is Iesous, the Greek word for Jesus. Did the translators update Old English here in this passage? No, they changed the name Jesus to the pronoun he — those are two different words.

#4 — Ephesians 5:9

KJV (King James Version)    –   “(For the fruit of the ____________ is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “(For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth).”

NWT (New World Translation — Jehovah’s Witnesses)   –   “For the fruitage of the light consists of every sort of goodness and righteousness and truth.”

Note:    Notice how the NIV makes the same exact change as did the Jehovah’s Witnesses (who do not believe that the Holy Spirit is God). They change Spirit to light. Notice that they do not even capitalize the word when they change it. Are these fruits really just the good works of people that they do on their own? Or are these fruits the supernatural work of God the Holy Spirit working in the lives of believers? You could not prove it from this verse in the NIV.   The word in the Received Text is Pneuma, the Greek word for Spirit. Did the translators update Old English here in this passage? No. The problem is that we have an evil adversary who tries to portray himself as light.

    1. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 says, “For such are __________ apostles, __________________ workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for __________ himself is transformed into an __________ of __________. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

#5 — 1 Corinthians 9:18

KJV (King James Version)    –   “What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of ____________ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it.”

Note:   They totally removed the name Christ from this verse. The word in the Received Text is Christos, the Greek word for Christ. Did the translators here update Old English? No.

 

This is just a sample of the 136 changes which the translators made to the names of God.

Does God care if His name is changed to a pronoun, or altogether removed?

 

    1. Malachi 2:1-2 says, “And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give __________ unto my ________, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.”
2. God has even used the heathen to make sure that His name is declared. Exodus 9:16 says, “And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my ________ may be ________________ throughout all the earth.”

 

God’s name is not being declared through the
changes in the NIV — God’s name is being removed.

 

    3. We sometimes suffer reproach because of the name of Christ. Mark 13:13 says, “And ye shall be __________ of all men for my ____________ sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
4. We gather together in the name of the Lord. Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three are ________________ together in my ________, there am I in the midst of them.”
5. Names are important to people — are they not to God as well?   3 John 14 says, “But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. __________ the friends by ________.”
6. We are to have the highest regard for Jesus’ name. Philippians 2:9-10 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a ________ which is __________ every name: That at the ________ of Jesus every knee should ______, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”

 

Should it not concern Christians when God’s name is either removed or changed

136 times in the NIV? Who would ever dream that pastors would defend such men,

when they have tampered with the name that is above all names, and to be held in the

highest regard? What if your name was removed 136 times from an official document?

Would that concern you? Why does it not seem to concern Christians

when God’s name is treated with such contempt?

 

Note:    Instead of acknowledging the evil deeds that have been done in the NIV, many pastors and Christians lash out at those who point out these problems. What is taking place in the world right now?

    7.    2 Timothy 4:2-4 says, “____________ the word; be instant ____ season, ______ of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and ________________. For the time will come when they will ______ endure __________ doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the __________, and shall be turned unto ____________.”

Note:   The word fables means “fictitious narratives or statements; falsehoods, lies” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary) Satan is ready to deceive people any way that he can, and he has deceived many that the translators of the NIV have done nothing wrong.

    8. Proverbs 30:20 says, “Such is the way of an _____________________ woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have ________   ____   ____________________.”

Note:   We cannot rest upon our own wisdom or strength for such a battle as this, when dealing with the deceiver himself, or with those who are so deceived themselves, that they see no wrong in what has been done.

    9. Ephesians 6:10-11 says, “Finally, my brethren, be ____________ in the ________, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the __________ of the __________.”

Note:   The word wiles means “traveling over, trickery, and to lie in wait” (Strong’s #G3180).

Illustration:    A good hunter does not wait until the season starts to go out into the field and scout for animals. He goes out and scouts before the season opens. That is why good hunters often know where the big bucks are before opening morning.

 

The devil is wily. He travels back and forth scouting out

who he can deceive or harm — even before the season opens.

 

    10. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be ________________; because your adversary the __________, as a roaring lion, ______________ about, seeking whom he may ____________.”
11. Job 1:6-7 says, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and __________ came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going ____ and ______ in the earth, and from walking ____ and ________ in it.”
12. Job 1:8 says, “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou ____________________ my servant ______, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an ______________ man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

Note:   Yes, Satan had considered Job, but God had a hedge of protection and blessing around him. In other words, it was not open season for Job — yet; but the time came when it would be, and Satan was ready with a plan.

 

We get our English word method  from the Greek word methodia.

Do you notice the similarity in spelling? The word method  means,

“a procedure or process for attaining an object. The word method  implies

an orderly, logical arrangement, USUALLY IN STEPS” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

 

    13. Job 1:9-11 says, “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an __________ about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast ______________ the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch ______ that he hath, and he will ___________ thee to thy face.”
14. God now gives limited permission for open season upon Job. Job 1:12 says, “And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, ______ that he hath is in thy __________; only upon ______________ put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.”

Note:   Satan now goes to work with his plan — step-by-step.

    15. Step #1 — Job 1:13-15 says, “And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The ________ were plowing, and the __________ feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and _________ them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.” (This was a loss of ______ oxen and ______ asses, according to Job 1:3).
16. Step #2 — Job 1:16 says, “While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The ________ of God is fallen from heaven, and hath ____________ up the __________, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.” (This was a loss of __________ sheep, according to Job 1:3).
17. Step #3 — Job 1:17 says, “While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the ____________, and have ______________ them ________, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.” (This was a loss of __________ camels, according to Job 1:3).
18. Step #4 — Job 1:18-19 says, “While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy ________ and thy __________________ were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: And, behold, there came a great ________ from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are ________; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.” (This was a loss of _____ children, according to Job 1:2).

 

It is interesting to note that when God did not allow

Satan to touch Job, then Satan did not touch Job’s wife.

A husband and wife are considered one when they are married.

 

    19. Genesis 2:23-24 says, “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called __________, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his ________: and they shall be ______ flesh.”
20. Matthew 19:3-6 says, “The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his ________: and they twain shall be ______ flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but ______ flesh. What therefore God hath ____________ together, let not man put ______________.”

Note:   God later opened season upon Job himself.

    21. Job 2:3-6 says, “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. And Satan answered the LORD, and said, ________ for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his ________ and his __________, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but ________ his ________.”
22. Job 2:7 says, “So went __________ forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore __________ from the sole of his ________ unto his __________.”

 

When will we ever learn? The devil is wily. He figures out a plan for deceiving

and destroying people, and then, STEP-BY-STEP, he tries to accomplish his evil task.

That is what the devil is very successfully accomplishing right now with Bible translations.

He previously tried to have all of the Bibles burned, but that did not work. So now he has

devised another plan to remove and change things in the Bible, STEP-BY-STEP.

He has accomplished the first round in the NIV. Now, the same translators

have produced the TNIV, which some say has been changed 7% from the NIV.

 

Question:    If someone took away 7% of your bank account, would you think that was okay? Are you more protective of your earthly treasures than of God’s treasure to mankind — His Word?

    23. Psalms 19:7-11 says, “The ______ of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the __________________ of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The ______________ of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the ______________________ of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The ________ of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the ___________________ of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be ______________ are they than ________, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great ____________.”

#6 — 1 Tim. 3:16

KJV (King James Version)    –   “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: ______ was manifest in the __________, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.”

Note:   There are TWO PROBLEMS in the way that the NIV translated this verse.  First, they changed the name God to the pronoun He. This is not what the Received Text says. It says Theos, the Greek word for God. By making this change, the NIV translators took away another verse that clearly proves that Jesus is God Almighty.   Secondly, they changed the phrase “in the FLESH” to “in a BODY.” That is a very important error. Some of the cults believe that Jesus was an angelic being, and not God Almighty (like the Jehovah’s Witnesses).

 

This error in the NIV is antichrist doctrine. Angels can (and did)

appear in bodies, but angels do not have regular bodies of flesh.

 

   1.    2 John 7 says, “For many __________________ are entered into the world, who confess ______ that Jesus Christ is come in the __________. This is a ________________ and an
____________________.”

Note:   Jesus did not come to earth as an angelic being, just appearing in a body. Jesus’ body was a real body of flesh. God the Father Himself contrasts Jesus with angels, and calls Jesus “God.”

    2. Hebrews 1:7-8 says, “And of the ____________ he saith, Who maketh his angels ______________, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the ______ he saith, Thy throne, O ______, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.”

Note:    Angels were made as spirit beings. They can appear in a body, but they do not have regular bodies of flesh.

    3. Luke 24:36-39 says, “And as they thus spake, __________ himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and ________________ that they had seen a ____________. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: ____________ me, and see; for a ____________ hath ______ __________ and __________, as ye see me have.”

Note:   Jesus could not have redeemed us who are in the flesh unless He came in the same manner.

    4. Hebrews 2:14-17 says, “Forasmuch then as the ________________ are partakers of __________ and __________, he also himself ________________ took part of the ________; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took ______ on him the ____________ of ____________; but he took on him the ________ of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be ________ ________ unto his ________________, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make ____________________________ for the ________ of the people.”

Note:   No where in the Bible does it ever insinuate that Jesus’ death on the cross had any benefit whatsoever for those angels which have fallen. They are spirit beings. Jesus died in the flesh for mankind who is in the flesh. The angels are quite intrigued at what wonderful salvation God wrought for those in the flesh.

    5. 1 Peter 1:7-12 says, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of __________ ____________: Whom having ______ seen, ye ________; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the __________________ of your __________. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the ____________ desire to ________ into.”

Note:   The angels are in a different realm than us. They can see God, unlike us, who have never seen Him. Because they have seen Him and His glory, and still rebelled, they have made their decision.

    6. Jude 1:6 says, “And the ____________ which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting ____________ under darkness unto the ________________ of the great day.”

Note:   Hell was actually first made for the angels who rebelled, but mankind who rejects God will also find himself there for all of eternity.

    7. Matthew 25:41 says, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye ____________, into
_______________________ fire, ________________ for the __________ and his ____________.”

Note:   As has already been noted, angels can appear in bodies, even though they are not regular bodies of flesh. Two angels, along with the Lord, appeared to Abraham, and he just thought that they were three regular men, at first.

    8. Genesis 18:1-2 says, “And the LORD ________________ unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, __________    ______ stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground.”
9. Genesis 18:22 says, “And the ______ turned their faces from thence, and ________ toward __________: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.”

Note:   We are told that the One still there was the Lord. The other two head for Sodom, and when they arrive there, we are told who they really are.

    10. Genesis 19:1 says, “And there came ______   ____________ to __________ at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.”

Note:    Neither Abraham nor Lot knew, at first, that they were entertaining angels, because they appeared in bodies to them.

    11. Hebrews 13:2 says, “Be not forgetful to entertain __________________: for thereby some have entertained ____________   ________________.”

#7 — Rom. 14:10-12

KJV (King James Version)    –   “But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of ____________. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’” So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”

NWT (New World Translation — Jehovah’s Witnesses)   –   “But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.” For it is written: “‘As I live,’ says Jehovah, ‘to me every knee will bend down, and every tongue will make open acknowledgment to God.”

Note:    Notice, once again, how the NIV has gone right along with the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who do not believe that Jesus is God.  These two verses in the KJV clearly prove that Jesus is God — “we shall all stand before the judgment seat of CHRIST… So then every one of us shall give account of himself to GOD.”  By taking away the name of Christ, the NIV goes right along with the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and this passage can no longer be used to show that Jesus is God.    The Greek word here in the Received Text is Christos, the Greek word for Christ — not Theos, the Greek word for God.

 

So many professing Christians argue in defense of the NIV and the Critical Text

from which it was translated, but they have failed to do their homework to see for whom they are

arguing — for those who deny that Jesus is indeed the Christ, the anointed one, God in the flesh.

 

    12. Jesus is God Almighty, and He is going to judge all mankind one day. John 5:22 says, “For the ____________ judgeth ____ man, but hath committed ______ ________________ unto the ______.”
13. And Jesus has already told us the standard by which He is going to judge mankind. John 12:48 says, “He that __________________ me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that ______________ him: the ________ that I have spoken, the same shall __________ him in the last day.”

Note:   Ask any preacher who uses the NIV if he believes that it is the pure, preserved, Word of God without error, and he (if he is honest), will say, “No.” They do not believe that any translation is the Word of God without error.  If that is the case, then mankind better greatly fear, because John 12:48 says that man will be judged according to the Word of God. And if no one really has the pure Word of God, then no one really knows exactly what it says or requires of mankind. That puts man in pretty bad shape to face the judgment.

 

#8 — Matthew 1:25

KJV (King James Version)    –   “And knew her not till she had brought forth her __________________ son: and he called his name JESUS.”

NIV (New International Version)    –   “But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.”

NWT (New World Translation — Jehovah’s Witnesses)   –   “But he had no intercourse with her until she gave birth to a son; and he called his name Jesus.”

Note:   The NIV, just like the Jehovah’s Witnesses NWT, takes out the word firstborn. They did not update an Old English word here — they just totally removed it. The word is there in the Received Text. The Greek word is prototokos, meaning “firstborn” (Strong’s #4416).  Any tampering with the text of Scripture is very serious, and there are also two other very serious doctrinal matters about tampering with this verse.

 

#1 — This verse is very important to emphasize the VIRGIN BIRTH of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Note:   It was absolutely necessary that Jesus be Mary’s firstborn Son, or it could not have been a virgin birth. If Jesus was just one of Mary’s sons, but not necessarily the firstborn, then He would not have been the virgin-born Son of God.  This is very important, because if Jesus would have been born of a natural conception between a man and a woman, then He would have been born with a sin nature like us.

    1. Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death ____________ ________ ______ men, for that all have sinned.”
2. Romans 7:14 describes what it is like to have a sin nature, “For we know that the law is __________________: but I am ____________, sold under ______.”
3. It goes on further in Romans 7:22-23, “For I delight in the law of God after the ____________ man: But I see another law in my members, ______________ against the law of my mind, and bringing me into __________________ to the law of ______ which is ____ my members.”

Note:   If Jesus was born of a normal conception between a man and a woman, He could not have been the Savior, because He would have been born with the fallen sin nature of mankind. This is why this change in the NIV (that matches the change in the NWT), is extremely important.

 

#2 — This verse is very important, because the Catholics can use the NIV

to teach their false doctrine of the PERPETUAL VIRGINITY of Mary.

 

Note:   If this was not Mary’s firstborn (meaning, He was the first of more children to come), then that would fit right in with the false doctrine of the Catholics that makes Mary out to be the perpetual virgin, the Mother of God. There is no such thing as the perpetual virginity of Mary. Perpetual means “continuing forever; everlasting” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

 

The Catholics realize the significance of the virgin birth for Jesus to be God in the flesh.

Their problem comes when they exalt Mary to the status of the Mother of God.

 

They reason, “How can Mary be the Mother of God if she has a sin nature herself?” So they try to formulate doctrine that makes her out to be sinless. She must then have a miraculous birth herself, and then she must not have any other children, because if she is the sinless Mother of God, then any children that she has are going to be God in the flesh. As you will notice, one false doctrine quickly leads to another false doctrine — it is the snowball effect. Seeming they did not want to say that Mary had many Saviors (many children), then they had to say that she simply had no more children the rest of her life.

 

When the Catholics made Mary out to be the Mother of God,

instead of the humble vessel that God used to bring forth the earthly body of

the Son of God, then they actually exalted Mary above  the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Note:   On some crosses in Rome, Mary actually appears hanging on the opposite side of the cross from Jesus. In Catholic films that are made, like The Passion of the Christ, Jesus is looking constantly to His mother for strength to get through the suffering of the crucifixion. And that is also why Catholics emphasize praying to Mary. This is also why some popes dedicate their papacies to Mary, not to the Lord Jesus Christ.  John Paul II has dedicated his papacy to Mary… His personal motto, Totus Tuus (Completely Yours), is a term illustrating the consecration of his life to the Blessed Virgin, a consecration that took place while he was still a Polish bishop. The assassination attempt and the vision that followed it serve to affirm Mary’s unique role for this Pope. He called the assassination attempt a “mysterious coincidence with the anniversary of the first apparition at Fatima” in a speech he gave as a pilgrim to Fatima on May 13, 1982. During this pilgrimage, John Paul also conducted a service where he consecrated the world and, indirectly, Russia, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (http://members.aol.com/bjw1106/marian7a.htm).

 

The Bible is very clear that Mary did not go on in her
virginity, but had normal husband/wife relations with Joseph.

 

    4. Matthew 1:23-25 says, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And ________ her ______   ________ she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.”

Note:   The Bible is very clear that Joseph and Mary did not have normal marital affection until she had brought forth the Lord Jesus Christ. That affirms that the virginity state ended after Jesus’ birth.

 

The Bible goes on to affirm that Joseph and Mary had other children.

 

    5. Matthew 13:55-56 says, “Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his ____________ called Mary? and his ________________, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his ______________, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?”

Note:   This passage presents a problem to the Catholics, and they try to explain it away by saying that these were just brothers and sisters in the Lord. But that is not the case, because the context is talking about family — mother, brothers, and sisters. Such was the case on other occasions. The context easily tells if the reference is to spiritual or physical relationships.

    6. Matthew 12:46-50 says, “While he yet talked to the people, behold, his ____________ and his ________________ stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy ____________ and thy ________________ stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, ______ is my mother? and ______ are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his __________________, and said, Behold my ____________ and my ________________! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my ______________, and ____________, and ____________.”

Note:   This passage clearly shows both — the physical family and the spiritual family. The physical family was waiting outside and wanted to speak with Him (His mother and brothers). The spiritual family was inside and listening to Him speak (His disciples). So the Catholic doctrine that Mary was a perpetual virgin and had no other children is false.

 

Mary was not the sinless Mother of God. Only sinners need a Saviour, and Mary confessed that she needed a Saviour.

 

    7. Mary testified in Luke 1:46-47, “And ________ said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in ______   ____   ______________.”

Note:   Mary is not the Mother of God. Jesus did not come into existence in Mary’s womb — that is simply where His earthly body was formed.

    8. John 6:38 says, “For I ________ down from ____________, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
9. John 6:51 says, “I am the living bread which ________ down from ____________: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
10. John 3:13 says, “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that ________ down from ____________, even the Son of man which is in heaven.”

 

None of us came down from heaven. None of us existed before our births.

But the Lord Jesus Christ has always existed. The birth of His physical body

in the womb of Mary did not bring Him into existence.

 

    11. John 8:57-58 says, “Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet __________ years old, and hast thou ________ Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, ____________ Abraham was, I ____.”
12. Micah 5:2 says, “But thou, __________________ Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ___________ in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of ______, from ______________________.”

7. Compare that ending to the real ending in the KJV. Mark 16:19-20 says, “So then after the ________ had ____________ unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and ________________    __________   __________, the Lord ______________    ________   ________, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
8. In the 1978 edition of the NIV, it says: “The earliest and most reliable manuscripts do not have John 7:53-8:11”(The Holy Bible, New International Version © 1978, International Bible Society). In the 1984 edition of the NIV it says: “The earliest manuscripts and many other ancient witnesses do not have John 7:53-8:11” (The Holy Bible, New International Version, International Bible Society © 1984). If the most reliable manuscripts did not have this passage in them, then why did the translators ______________ it here in the text? Why did the translators totally remove other verses, but then handle this passage this way? Why did they not just put a note like this on every other verse that they removed?
9. The devil is very tricky. In some instances, he wants certain information totally ______________ — so that people do not even contemplate such things (like that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God, 1 John 5:7; or that no one can be baptized until he/she is saved, Acts 8:37). In other instances, though, the devil wants certain passages left ____, but great __________ placed upon them. What is the purpose of that? To place the idea in people’s minds that ______ all of what appears in the Bible is necessarily ________.
10. Proverbs 25:23 says, “The __________ wind ______________   ________ rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.”
11. The NIV says the exact opposite, “As a north wind ____________ rain…”
12. All of the new Bible translations in English which were consulted for this study, have made this ________ error. If you cannot trust God to know how the ______________ really works, then how could you ever trust Him with your ________?
13. This next section deals with where the translators changed names to ________________. By one estimate, the NIV translators removed God’s name and replaced it with a pronoun at least ______ times.
14. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of ______, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
15. The NIV says, “But seek first ______ kingdom and his righteousness…”
16. Ephesians 5:9 says, “(For the fruit of the ____________ is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)”
17. The NIV says, “(For the fruit of the __________ consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth).”

    18. The word in the Received Text is Pneuma, the Greek word for Spirit. Did the translators update Old English here in this passage? No. The problem is that we have an evil adversary who tries to portray himself as light.   2 Corinthians 11:13-15 says, “For such are __________ apostles, __________________ workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for __________ himself is transformed into an __________ of __________. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
19.   1 Corinthians 9:18 says, “What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of ____________ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.”   The NIV totally removes of the name of Christ, “What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it.” (NIV)
20. Malachi 2:1-2 says, “And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give __________ unto my ________, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.”
21. God has even used the heathen to make sure that His name is declared. Exodus 9:16 says, “And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my ________ may be ________________ throughout all the earth.”
22. God’s name is not being declared through the changes in the NIV — God’s name is being ______________.
23. Should it not concern Christians when God’s name is either removed or changed ______ times in the NIV? Who would ever dream that pastors would defend such men, when they have tampered with the name that is above all names, and to be held in the highest regard? What if your name was removed 136 times from an official document? Would that concern you? Why does it not seem to concern Christians when God’s name is treated with such contempt?
24. The devil is wily. He travels back and forth scouting out who he can ______________ or harm — even ____________ the season opens.
25. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be ________________; because your adversary the __________, as a roaring lion, ______________ about, seeking whom he may ____________.”
26. We get our English word method from the Greek word, methodia. Do you notice the similarity in spelling? The word method means, “a procedure or process for attaining an object. The word method implies an orderly, logical arrangement, USUALLY IN __________” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).
27. It is interesting to note that when God did not allow Satan to touch Job, then Satan did not touch Job’s ________. A husband and wife are considered one when they are married.
28. Genesis 2:23-24 says, “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called __________, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his ________: and they shall be ______ flesh.”
29. When will we ever learn? The devil is wily. He figures out a plan for deceiving and destroying people, and then, ________-BY-________, he tries to accomplish his evil task. That is what the devil is very successfully accomplishing right now with Bible translations. He previously tried to have all of the Bibles burned, but that did not work. So now he has devised another plan to ____________ and ____________ things in the Bible, STEP-BY-STEP. He has accomplished the first round in the NIV. Now, the same translators have produced the TNIV, which some say has been changed ___% from the NIV.

Are you certain that if you died today, you would go to heaven?

1. Do you realize that you have sinned?

(Romans 3:23)  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

(1 John 1:8)   “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

(Ecclesiastes 7:20)   “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.”

 

2. Do you realize the penalty for your sin?

(Romans 6:23)   “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

 

3. Do you realize that if you die in your sin, you will go to hell?

(Psalms 9:17)   “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

(Proverbs 15:24)   “The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.”

(Luke 12:4-5)   “And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.   But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

 

4. Do you realize that the Lord Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, paid that death penalty for you?

(Matthew 1:21-23)    “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.    Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,     Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”

(John 14:6-7)    “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.   If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”

(John 3:16)    “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

(Romans 5:8)   “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

(1 Peter 3:18)   “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.”

(1 Peter 2:24)   “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

 

5. Do you realize that it is only through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that you can be saved, and not through any good works of your own?

(1 John 1:7)   “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

(1 Peter 1:18-19)   “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;    But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

(Ephesians 2:8-9)   “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:    Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

(Titus 3:5-7)   “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;   Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;   That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

 

6. Do you realize that after Jesus died for your sins, He arose victorious from the grave the third day, proving that His sacrifice was sufficient to pay for all of the sins of the whole world?

(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)    “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;   By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.    For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;   And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

 

7. Do you realize that to be saved you must repent (you must have the desire to turn from your sin and false beliefs, and have the desire for God to transform your life)?

(Luke 13:3)   “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

(Acts 3:19)   “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

(Acts 26:20)   “But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.”

(Mark 9:43-48)   “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:   Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.   And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:   Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.   And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:   Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

 

8. Do you realize that after you get saved, God’s first command for you is to get baptized and then to live for Him?

(Acts 2:41)   “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

(Romans 6:1-4)   “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?   God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?   Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?    Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

(2 Corinthians 5:17)    “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

(Titus 3:3-8)   “For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.   But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,   Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;   Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;   That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.   This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”

(Titus 2:11-14)    “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,   Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;   Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;   Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)   “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,   Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

(Galatians 5:19-26)   “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,   Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,   Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.   But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,    Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.   And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.   If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.   Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”

(1 Corinthians 11:14-15)   “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?    But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.”

(Deuteronomy 22:5)   “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.”

(Ephesians 4:22-32)   “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;   And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;   And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.    Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.   Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:   Neither give place to the devil.   Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.   Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.   And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.   Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:    And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

 

9. Are you ready to now ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins, and to save you?

(John 1:12)   “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

(Romans 10:9-11)   “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.   For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.    For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

(Romans 10:13)   “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

(1 John 5:13)   “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

 

 

ATTENTION:    If you die before you make this decision, then you will spend eternity in the torment of hell fire.  Turn from your wickedness and sin, and humble yourself before Almighty God right now.

Bow your head right now and confess to God that you are a sinner deserving judgment.  Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins, and to save you.  Tell Him that you now repent, and ask Him to cleanse your life, and to give you the power to live for Him.  Tell Him that you are trusting in His shed blood alone to cleanse you from all your sin.  Ask Him to lead you to a good, Bible-preaching church, where you can follow the first command after salvation — that of getting baptized and publicly confessing your faith in Him.  Ask Him to help you find some good Christian friends to encourage you in the faith and to help you grow.
