My sister and I were discussing about women having their hair cut. She said that women cannot cut their hair or wear makeup or jewelry. Is this true?
I Corinthians 11:14,15 says, “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” These verses show that a man’s hair is to be clearly short, and a woman’s hair is to be clearly long. There is to be a definite distinction between the looks of men and women. If a woman’s hair is anywhere near the length of a man’s short hair, then she is disobeying this command (actually, disobeying a principle which God has built in to men and women, “Doth not even NATURE ITSELF TEACH YOU…”)Continue reading
I have 2 teenage sons and they feel that having a tattoo and their body pierced is OK. I know the body is a temple but they have gone to a church camp and several of the advisors have ear rings etc. What is the Bible’s answer to my children on this issue?

Hi, I was on your web page about a Christian’s appearance and I thought I needed to clear up some things that you are stating as fact. I have been a cop for quite some time now and have worked in places that I would have rather not been in, but it wasn’t my call. But one thing I have noticed in this walk of life is that most of the long haired men I have seen are definitely not gay, of course some I wouldn’t call Christian, but a lot let you know clearly that they are. But on the other hand all the gay men that I have come across are very well groomed short haired men and some profess to be Christian and attend church on a regular basis. So does the Great One, who loves all, lock the doors on both groups or what? And I want to know if during any time that I had long hair and working undercover if something would have gone wrong and I got killed, would I have gone to Heaven or would he have turned his back on me? Or would Jesus speak up and say “He’s one of mine?”.
