Book of Genesis

Part 1

Welcome to Book 1 in the Through the Bible Series of the Liberty Bible Course. This booklet will being taking you on a verse-by-verse journey through the Book of Genesis. This study is written to be used with the King James Version of the Bible. Please begin another exciting study in God’s Word!

Chapter 1

Genesis 1:1

  1. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning ______ ______________ the heaven and the earth.”

Note:  You need to memorize the above verse for the Final Test.

How many words are in that verse? ____

Do you like to read?      Yes     No

How many books do you think you have read in your life?

o – 0 to 20       o – 21 to 100       o – 101 or more

How many words would you guess that you have read in your whole life?     o – Hundreds     o – Thousands     o – Millions

A paperback book was randomly selected, and found to be about 200 pages long.  Then, a random sampling of those pages found an average of 420 words per page.  About how many words does that small paperback book contain? __________

How many words would you guess are in the whole Bible? _______________

Have you ever read through the entire Bible?    o Yes    o No

It is said that there are 791,328 words in the entire King James Version of the Bible (D. A. Waite, The Defined King James Bible).

Many professing Christians have never read through

the entire Bible.  Many would say that the reason they

have never done so, is because the Bible is so long,

yet they have read many other books in their lives which

add up to many more words than the Bible contains.

What does that mean?  It means that we read what we really have a desire to read—no matter how long it is.  Will you determine to read through the entire Bible in the next year?

Do we normally read just a portion of a letter that we receive, or the whole thing?  Of course we read the whole letter, otherwise, we may miss something very important.  Then, why do so many people treat the Bible that way, reading only a  few  verses  in  the  middle somewhere?  Surely they are missing many important things.

  1. Reading through the entire Bible is very important.Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein ______ and __________, that thou mayest observe to do according to ______ that is ______________ therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good ______________.”

Have you learned the truth of the first ten words of the Bible, how that God created this earth and life upon it?

If you have read millions of words, but still do not know and believe the first ten words of the Bible,

then you do not yet know the real purpose and reason for your life.

In the process of earning their high school diplomas, students read dozens of books, and hundreds of thousands of words—but many graduate, not knowing how the earth and life began.

To obtain a Bachelors degree, the average college student will probably read over 150 assigned books.  That will normally mean reading well over 12 million words.  Multiply that, for those going on to earn Masters and/or Doctors degrees—but many of them will also graduate, not knowing how the earth and life began.

Scientists spend years of their lives in research, and sometimes thousands of dollars in grants—but many of them retire, still not knowing how the earth and life began.

All of these people could have had the answer by simply reading the first ten words of the Bible.

What about you?  Will much of your life also be wasted?

  1. Psalms 25:4-5 says, “________ me thy ways, O LORD; __________ me thy paths. ________ me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”

Note:  Today, come to the Lord with the heart attitude, Show me…, Teach me…, Lead me…

God’s answer will come through reading the Bible.

  1. Romans 10:17 says, “So then __________ cometh by hearing, and hearing by the ________ of God.”

Note:  There are many religious sign-seekers who have had mystical experiences that do not agree with what the Bible teaches.  When you question them with Scripture, some of them will say, “You need to think outside of the box!” or they may say, “God is not bound to a book!”  Beware of people that make such statements.

  1. God warns us about those people in Isaiah 8:20, “To the ______ and to the __________________: if they speak not according to this ________, it is because there is no __________ in them.”

The first warning is in regard to the “law.”

Note:  If people come up with laws or rules that contradict what is taught in the Bible, then there is no light in them—what they are saying is not from God.

The second warning is in regard to the “testimony.”

A testimony is what someone has seen, heard, or experienced.  If people try to tell you that they have seen, heard, or experienced anything that contradicts what is taught in the Bible, then there is no light in them—their experience is not from God.

  1. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 says, “For such are __________ apostles, __________________ workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for __________ himself is transformed into an angel of __________.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

The Bible warns us that Satan will appear as an “angel of light,” if necessary, to deceive people;

and that his “ministers” (demons), will also appear as “ministers of righteousness,” to deceive others.

This means that you must carefully test every law or rule that people teach, and every testimony

or experience that they claim to have had, to see if it agrees with what the Bible teaches.

  1. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says, “__________ all things; hold fast that which is good.”

Note:  Do you believe everything that you are told, or do you first read the Bible to see if those things are true?

  1. Acts 17:11 says, “These were more __________ than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and ________________ the ____________________ daily, whether those things were ____.”
  2. Proverbs 14:15 says, “The ____________ believeth every word: but the ______________ man looketh well to his going.”

Note:  The word prudent means, “skill and good judgment in the use of resources” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

Do not waste your life, it a precious resource that cannot be replaced.  Read the Bible and live according to it.

The fact of the matter is that Jesus was “bound to the Book,” the Bible.

The Scriptures governed His life, His ministry, and His death.

  1. Jesus said in Matthew 26:53-54, “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the ____________________ be __________________, that thus it must be?”

Note:  It is said that a legion was the largest unit in the Roman army, being about 6,000 men (Way of Life Encyclopedia, David Cloud).   Based upon that figure (12 legions times 6,000), Jesus was saying that He could have called for more than ____________ angels to come and fight for Him against the Roman soldiers.  Why did Jesus not do that?

Jesus, Himself, was “bound to the Book,” the Bible. He never did anything contrary to it.  Do not seek mystical

or charismatic  experiences.  Bind your faith and practice to the written Word of God.  That is what Jesus did.

  1. Psalms 27:11 says, “__________ me thy way, O LORD, and ________ me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.”

The founding fathers of the United States of America believed the first ten words of the Bible.  They wrote:

“We hold these TRUTHS to be self-evident—that all men are CREATED equal;

that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable rights…”

The Declaration of Independence

Note:  The founders of our nation believed in creation—not evolution. Sadly, the Theory of Evolution has now been taught exclusively in schools for several generations, and its impact has been devastating.

  1. Psalms 11:3 says, “If the ______________________ be destroyed, what can the __________________ do?”

CREATION is the FOUNDATION of dealing with people about their souls.  The reason that we have to answer

to God one day is because He is the Creator of this earth and mankind; thus, He is the Owner.

Note:  Do you own a cell phone, computer, car, or house, etc.?  Who sets the rules for the things that you own?  You do.

Why are so many people unwilling to even listen to the facts of creation?  Because if they admit that there is a Creator, then they know that they have to answer to Him one day.

  1. Romans 1:21-22 says, “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became ________ in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be ________, they became __________.”

Note:  It truly is vain and foolish to think that all of the beauty and complexity in nature came about by accident (from a big bang).

Will a car or computer ever evolve out of the dirt in your backyard?  Not a chance.

Giving it 10 years, or 100 years, or 100 billion years makes no difference to the equation.  Those things only exist when there is intelligent design and skillful construction.

The end result of teaching EVOLUTION is ATHEISM—the belief that “there is no God.”

  1. Psalms 14:1 says, “The ________ hath said in his heart, There is ____ God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

Note:  Many people know that there is a problem with education today, but they just cannot seem to discern the real cause.  They have tried spending more money; raising teacher’s requirements; requiring more testing for the students, etc., but nothing seems to really help.  The College Board that administers the SAT test has acknowledged that the scores started dropping off severely in 1963.  They have researched the problem, and this was their conclusion:

“Low SAT scores ‘are a symptom that something has disturbed and continues to affect

an important segment of our learning system.  And yet we seem in recent years to have

come to a DEAD END in our exploration of the etiology [the cause or origin] of the malady [the disease].’”

(Why the SAT Scores Kept Falling, William W. Turnbull, College Board Report No. 85-28, page 12)

They continue on writing, “It would seem important that we continue to pursue the search for a better understanding of what ails us as a guide to what to do about it” (IBID).

What information did the College Board miss in their research?  They missed two important Supreme Court

cases involving Madalyn Murray O’Hair, the infamous atheist.  The first case was in 1962,

when school-sponsored prayer was thrown out of the public schools.  The second

case was in 1963, when Bible-reading was thrown out of the public schools.

Why did these decisions affect the SAT scores?  The answer is given below in just ten words.

  1. Proverbs 1:7 says, “The ________ of the LORD is the beginning of __________________: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Note:  By denying school officials the right to call upon God for help in teaching and learning for that school day, the Supreme Court was limiting teachers to human strength, which is faulty and frail.  By also refusing to let teachers read from the Bible, the Supreme Court left the teachers with nothing to teach, except fables, in regard to the origin of the universe and mankind.  The justices threw out the only authoritative text for creation—the Bible.

  1. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The ________ of the LORD is the beginning of ____________: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Note:  The word wisdom means, “good sense, judgment” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).  This brings up something very interesting about the SAT test.

Back to the College Board’s study, they stated, “The SAT measures a student’s proficiency

in solving word and number problems.”  They continue, “The test stresses

HIGHER ORDER REASONING than the ‘basics’ of reading and calculating.”

(Why the SAT Scores Kept Falling, William W. Turnbull, College Board Report No. 85-28,  page 4).

Is it any wonder, then, that the SAT scores have dropped

since Prayer and Bible-reading have been thrown out of the public schools?

The SAT was designed, not just to test for KNOWLEDGE; but even further,

to test for WISDOM (how to consider the facts with a higher order of reasoning).

Thanks to the atheists, the Supreme Court has taken away the key to both knowledge and wisdom from the realm of public education.  That KEY is the holy respect or FEAR OF GOD.  The College Board missed this point, and arrived at a dead end.

Is that also how your life will end, because you have failed to read the Bible and to have the fear of God?

  1. 1 Samuel 12:24 says, “Only ________ the LORD, and __________ him in __________ with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”

People will never fear God, until they acknowledge that He is the Creator; and, thus, the Owner of all things.

  1. Psalms 24:1 says, “The __________ is the ____________, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
  2. Isaiah 45:12 says, “I have ________ the __________, and ______________ ______ upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”

Question:  Do you realize that God is the Owner of this earth, and that you will answer to Him one day?  What if you died today?  Read the inside of the back cover for help.

  1. Romans 14:12 says, “So then __________ one of ____ shall give account of himself to ______.”

Question:  Why is it that man can survive naturally upon the earth, but that no other planet or moon seems to have the right conditions?

  1. Isaiah 45:18 says, “For thus saith the LORD that ______________ the heavens; God himself that formed the __________ and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be __________________: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”

It was not by chance or by accident that there is air

to breathe, water to drink, and livable temperatures

here upon planet earth—it was by God’s divine design.

Book of Genesis

Part 1

Chapter 2

Genesis 1:1

  1. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the __________________ God created the heaven and the earth.”

Note:  In this verse, the word beginning, is referring to the beginning of the earth—not to the beginning of GOD.  God is eternal, which means that He had no beginning.

  1. Psalm 90:1-2 says, “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.____________ the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst ____________ the earth and the world, even from

______________________ to ______________________, thou art God.”

Note:  God is the only one who has always existed.  We all had a beginning at conception in the wombs of our mothers.

  1. Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my ______________________.  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

This fact about God having no beginning is also a fact mentioned in regard to the Lord Jesus Christ,

which proves that Jesus is God Almighty, not just a man or an angel.

  1. Micah 5:2 says, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of ______, from ______________________.”

Note:  Jesus has existed from everlasting in the past.  That can only be said about God.

  1. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same __________________, and to ______, and for ________.”
  2. Referring to Jesus, Revelation 1:7-8 says, “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which ____, and which ______, and which is to ________, the ________________.”

Note:  Jesus is referred to as the Almighty—the Almighty God.

  1. Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The ____________ ______, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
  2. Matthew 1:23 agrees with that, saying, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, ______ with us.”

Note:  How can Jesus be the eternal God, if He was born upon earth in the womb of Mary?

  1. Back to Isaiah 9:6, it says, “For unto us a __________ is ________, unto us a ______ is __________: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Note:  Notice that it says, “For unto us a CHILD is BORN.”

By a miraculous conception in the womb of the virgin Mary, Jesus’ earthly BODY of FLESH had a BEGINNING,

but that was not the beginning of Jesus’ existence.

  1. Isaiah 7:14 says, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a ____________ shall conceive, and bear a ______, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Note:  Back to Isaiah 9:6, the phrase, “Unto us a SON is GIVEN”  explains how the eternal Son of God was given from heaven.

Mary is the mother of Jesus’ earthly body of flesh, but MARY is NOT the “MOTHER OF GOD.”

Jesus, the eternal Son of God, has always existed—but Mary has not.

  1. John 3:12-13 says, “If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came ________ from ____________, even the Son of man which is ____ heaven.”

Jesus was standing upon earth, and at the same time said

that He was in heaven.  Only God can be everywhere at once.

  1. Proverbs 15:3 says, “The ________ of the LORD are in __________ place, beholding the evil and the good.”

Note:  God is the Owner of this world, and He is watching everything that is taking place.  That means that He sees everything that you do.  Are you ready to answer to Him?

  1. Matthew 25:41 says, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into ______________________ ________, prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Review:

  1. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the __________________ God created the heaven and the earth.”
  2. In this verse, the word beginning, is referring to the beginning of the __________, not to the beginning of God. God had no beginning, because He is eternal.
  3. Psalms 90:1-2 says, “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from ______________________ to ______________________, thou art God.”
  4. This fact about God having no beginning, is also a fact mentioned in regard to the Lord Jesus Christ. This proves that Jesus is ______ Almighty—not just a man or an angel.
  5. Micah 5:2 is talking about Jesus, and says, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from ______________________.”
  6. Isaiah 9:6, says, “For unto us a CHILD is ________, unto us a SON is __________: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
  7. Notice that it says, “For unto us a CHILD is BORN.” By a miraculous conception in the womb of the virgin Mary, Jesus’ real earthly body of __________ had a beginning—but that was not the beginning of Jesus’ existence.
  8. Mary is the mother of Jesus’ earthly body of flesh, but MARY is NOT the “MOTHER OF ______.” Jesus, the eternal Son of God, has always existed—but Mary has not.

Book of Genesis

Part 1

Chapter 3

Genesis 1:1

  1. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God ______________ the heaven and the earth.”

Note:  Some people claim to believe in God, but they categorize the account of creation in Genesis chapters 1 and 2 as a myth.  The word myth means, “a person or thing having only an imaginary or unverifiable existence” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

That is strange that some people, who claim to be Christians, regard the account of creation in

Genesis chapters 1 and 2 as a MYTH — because Jesus referred back to creation as a FACT.

  1. Matthew 19:3-6 says, “The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which _______ them at the __________________ made them ________ and ____________,  And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?  Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Note:  Jesus referred back to Genesis, and said that in the beginning God created them male and female.

God created a MALE—not a one-celled organism that eventually formed into a man.

God created a FEMALE—not a one-celled organism that eventually formed into a woman.

Jesus referred back to the creation account in Genesis as a fact —not as a myth.  And those facts are so important, that Jesus taught we should govern our lives and marriages according to those facts of creation: one man, for one woman, for life.

The word theory  means, “an unproved assumption”(Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

That means that the Theory of EVOLUTION is, by definition, NOT REAL SCIENCE.

The word science  means, “knowledge, as distinguished

from ignorance or misunderstanding”

(Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

Evolution is a theory (an unproven assumption), but because sinful man does not want to answer to God, he will stoop to lies and deception to try and convince people of his theory.

The “Piltdown Man” hoax.

“For decades, a fossil skull discovered in Piltdown, England, was hailed as the missing link between apes and humans.  Entire careers were built on its authenticity.  Then in 1953, the awful truth came out: ‘Piltdown Man’ was a fake!” (Nova Science, PBS Broadcast, May 30, 2006).  Everyone ought to take special note of this, when even liberal, public broadcasting admits that Piltdown Man was a fake.

In the early 1900’s a piece of a skull was unearthed by a laborer,

and was passed on to a local, amateur archeologist, by the name of Charles Dawson.  He showed it to Sir Arthur Smith Woodward, Keeper of Geology at the Natural History Museum, and they both presented it to the public in December of 1912, as a “missing link” between man and animals.  In 1953, the skull was scientifically shown to be a hoax by scientist Kenneth Oakley (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/hoax/).

Stop and think.  Piltdown Man was shown to be a fake way back in 1953.  Why, then, is it still being presented in science textbooks in public schools as a fact or proof of evolution?  Are there no teachers who have done any research in the fields that they are teaching?  Why are the children being taught lies to try and prove evolution?

The “Neanderthal Man” hoax.

A fossil (later called Neanderthal Man) was found in a peat bog near Hamburg, Germany.  Professor Reiner Protsch was invited to date the skull.  He conveniently dated it at 36,000-years-old, exactly what the evolutionists needed as proof of a missing link between animals and man.

“On February 18, 2005, Protsch was forced to retire in disgrace after a Frankfurt University panel ruled he had ‘fabricated data…’” (The “Dating Disaster” of Neanderthal Man, Brad Harrub, Ph.D.).

The fabrication was discovered when scientists at Oxford were doing rechecks of fossil dating.  Thomas Terberger was the archeologist who discovered the hoax of the Neanderthal dating.

Stop and think.  Neanderthal Man was shown to be a fake in 2005.  Why, then, is it still being presented in science textbooks in public schools as a fact or proof of evolution?  Are there no teachers who have done any research in the fields that they are teaching?  Why are the children being taught lies to try and prove evolution?

The “Lucy” hoax.

In 1974, a partial skeleton was found in Ethiopia, and designated as, Lucy.  “Though evolutionists admit that the creature had an ape’s head and brain, and ape-like arms and hands, and no speech capacity, it is alleged that it walked uprightly, which was ‘the first step toward becoming human’” (The Lucy Hoax, David Cloud, fbns@wayoflife.org).

A meeting of anthropologists gathered [in August 2009] at the Institute of Human Origins in New York to consider Lucy, and a report in the New York Times made the following interesting

conclusion: “The debate over whether the primate Lucy actually stood up on two feet… thus becoming one of mankind’s most important ancestors—has evolved into two interpretive viewpoints, three family trees, spats over four scientific techniques and too many personality clashes to count.  The long and short of it is, according to a participant, that bipedality lies in the eye of the beholder” (Did Lucy Actually Stand on Her Own Two Feet? New York Times, Aug. 29, 2009, as reported in The Lucy Hoax).

As for Lucy’s feet and hands, Dr. Randall Susman and Dr. Jack Stern described them as “showing a retention of grasping tendencies with long and curved digits” (Did Lucy Actually Stand on Her Own Two Feet? New York Times, Aug. 29, 2009, as reported in The Lucy Hoax).

Stop and think.  If the liberal New York Times is willing to admit that there is a problem with Lucy walking uprightly and being a missing link—then you know that there is a problem!  If people were not willingly blind to the truth, then they could see that Lucy is but another hoax.  There is no scientific proof that Lucy walked uprightly like humans, but clear physical proof that she was using her feet and hands to climb around in the trees.

Why, then, is Lucy still being presented in science textbooks in public schools as a fact or proof of evolution?  Are there no teachers who have done any research in the fields that they are teaching?  Why are the children being taught lies to try and prove evolution?

  1. 2 Peter 3:3-5 says, “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days ________________, walking after their own lusts,And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.  For this they __________________ are ________________ of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water.”

Note:  Remember, the theory of evolution is “an unproved assumption.”  Praise the Lord that we have something that is sure!

  1. 2 Peter 1:19-21 says, “We have also a more ________ word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the __________________ is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

Note:  Believe the Bible.  True, honest research will always show the Bible to be true.  Reject evolution for what it is—false science.

  1. 1 Timothy 6:20 says, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of ______________   ______________ so called.”

A foundational doctrine of the faith is that God created the heaven and the earth and all that is on it.

If you take away that doctrine, then you take away the basic reason why we must answer to God one day.

Note:  If God did not create us, but just stepped in later to take over control of us, then He would be no different than any dictator upon the earth.  If that were the case, then rebellion against Him and freedom from His rule could be justified.  That is how important it is to stand firm for the doctrine that God created the heaven and the earth, and all life upon it.

  1. Romans 1:25 says, “Who changed the __________ of God into a ______, and worshipped and served the ________________ more than the ______________, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

That is the sum total of evolution: worshipping the creature (saying that we came from animals),

instead of worshipping the Creator  (acknowledging that we came from God).

  1. Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created ______ in his own image, in the __________ of ______ created he him; male and female created he them.”

Some professing Christians were afraid that if they acknowledged that they believed the Biblical account

of creation in Genesis, that they would then look ignorant and foolish in the eyes of scientists.  So what those

people did was mix evolution and creation together.  This mixing came to be known as Theistic Evolution.

Note:  The word theism means, “belief in the existence of one God” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

Theistic Evolution teaches that God created matter, and then just let evolution form everything over millions and billions of years.

  1. Remember the verses that we just looked at?1 Timothy 6:20-21 say, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and OPPOSITIONS OF SCIENCE FALSELY SO CALLED:  Which some ____________________ have __________ concerning the __________. Grace be with thee. Amen.”

If you cannot believe God as to how everything STARTED in this universe,

then how can you believe Him as to how everything is going to END?

  1. Jesus said in John 3:12, “If I have told you ______________ things, and ye believe ______, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of ________________ things?”
  2. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without __________ it is ____________________ to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Note:  Why would God create matter, and then use a painfully slow system of mutations (evolution) to form His creatures?  That would be cruel.

Why reject the truth of God’s Word, to then believe a theory that cannot even explain how matter  came to be?

Evolution says that a ball of matter exploded (the big bang), but they do not know from where that matter came, nor from where the energy came to get it spinning or to make it explode.

The Bible tells us how matter  came into existence.

  1. Hebrews 11:3 says, “Through faith we understand that the ____________ were framed by the ________ of God, so that things which are ________ were not made of things which do ____________.”
  2. Psalm 33:6 says, “By the ________ of the LORD were the heavens ________; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.”
  3. Psalm 33:9 says, “For he __________, and it was ________; he commanded, and it stood fast.”

That verse tells us how long it took God to create matter—it was instant.  God spoke, and it was done.

That one verse alone, proves the idea of Theistic Evolution to be wrong.

Review:

  1. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God ______________ the heaven and the earth.”
  2. That is strange that some people, who claim to believe in God, go on to regard the account of creation in Genesis chapters 1 and 2 as a myth, because Jesus referred back to creation as a ________.
  3. God created a ________—not a one-celled organism that eventually formed into a man. God created a ____________—not a one-celled organism that eventually formed into a woman.
  4. The theory of evolution is not real science. The word theory means, “an ________________ assumption.”
  5. The word science means, “__________________ as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding.”

Chapter 4

Genesis 1:2

  1. “And the earth was without ________, and ________; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Note:  Theistic Evolution was not the only false teaching that arose because of those who were afraid of being called ignorant.

Another false teaching arose called the GAP THEORY.

It taught that between the first two verses of Genesis chapter one, there were millions or billions of years.

Note:  Remember, the Bible warns that some people will believe things that are falsely called science.

  1. 1 Timothy 6:20-21 says, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and ______________________ of ____________________________ so called:   Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.”

Note:  The Gap Theory falsely teaches that verse 2 is describing the earth after God supposedly destroyed a previous race upon it.  They thus teach that the description of creation in chapters 1 and 2, is actually the second time that God created everything.

They teach that there was a race of people before Adam and Eve, who sinned and corrupted the earth, and that God destroyed them all with the earth.

  1. Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by ______ man ______ entered into the __________, and death by sin; and so death passed

upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

  1. Romans 5:14 says, “Nevertheless death reigned from ________ to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of ____________ transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.”

The Bible teaches that sin entered into the world by Adam, which means that there could not

have been a previous race of people that fell into sin.  There is NO GAP between verses 1 and 2.

  1. Genesis 1:2 says, “And the ___________ was without ________, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Note:  The word form means, “the shape and structure of something as distinguished from its material” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

God had created the material  of the earth (what scientists refer to as matter),

but God had not yet formed that material into specific things.

  1. Genesis 1:2 says, “And the earth was without form, and ________; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Note:  The word void means “not occupied, vacant, empty” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).  The earth was empty at this point, because God had not yet filled it with His creations.

Verse 2 is NOT describing an earth just destroyed by God through a judgment (the false teaching of the Gap Theory),

but an earth whose matter  God had just created, but had not yet fully formed—not yet finished.

Note:  It is like building a house.  You lay the foundation and build the frame, but it is empty inside, until you finish it.

  1. Genesis 1:2 says, “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the ___________ of ______ moved upon the face of the waters.”

Note:  In this second verse in the Bible, we are already finding teaching about the Godhead (the Trinity).  The word Trinity is defined as, “the unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).

The New Testament makes reference back to this verse, showing proof that all men are without excuse for not believing in the Trinity, the Godhead;

that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are One.

  1. Romans 1:20 says, “For the invisible things of him from the ________________ of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his ______________ power and ______________; so that they are without excuse.”

Note:  Remember how we have already seen that Jesus is God Almighty?  Now we see that the Holy Spirit is Almighty God, too.

  1. 1 John 5:7 says, “For there are __________ that bear record in heaven, the ____________, the ________, and the __________________: and these three are ______.”

Note: The devil does not like that verse, because it teaches that God the Father, God the Son (the Word), and God the Holy Spirit are all One, and all are God Almighty.  This is one reason that it is so important to be reading the right translation of the Bible.

The New International Version  of the Bible has partially removed 1 John 5:7.  It reads, “For there are three that testify.”

(New International Version, © 1978, International Bible Society)

Remember what the verse really says?

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

(King James Version)

The NIV REMOVES information telling where these bear record, “in heaven.”

The NIV REMOVES the identity of these three, “the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.”

The NIV also REMOVES the very important information that,

“these three are one,” proving that we worship one God—not three.

Compare the NIV to The New World

Translation of the Jehovah’s Witness cult.

“For there are three witness bearers.”

(The New World Translation, © 1961, 2006 Watchtower Bible & Tract Society)

Notice how the NIV took out the same portion of the verse as the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Remember how we have often been told that the new translations do not

affect any doctrines?  Well, you can see that is not the truth.  This is one reason why it is extremely important as to which Bible translation you read.  Satan has

corrupted many translations of the Bible, to get people to believe false doctrine.  If you are reading in English, make sure that you get a King James Version of the

Bible.

The Spirit of God (God the Holy Spirit) is not just a force, as some false religions teach.  The Holy Spirit is the eternal God.

  1. Hebrews 9:14 says, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the ______________ ____________ offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

Note:  The Holy Spirit is eternal, and only God has always existed.

  1. Psalm 90:2 says, “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from ______________________ to ______________________, thou art ______.”

Note:  The Holy Spirit is eternal, so the Holy Spirit is God.  The Holy Spirit is also referred to as God in the next verses.

  1. Acts 5:3-4 says, “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the ________ __________, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto ______.”

To lie to the Holy Ghost, is to lie to God.

Chapter 5

Genesis 1:3

  1. Genesis 1:3 says, “And God said, Let there be __________: and there was __________.”

This light was not from the sun, moon, or stars,

because God did not create any of those

until Day 4, and we are still on Day 1.

  1. Genesis 1:16 says, “And God made two great lights; the ______________ light to rule the ______, and the ____________ light to rule the __________: he made the stars also.”
  2. The day that God made those is recorded in Genesis 1:19, which says, “And the evening and the morning were the ____________ day.”

Question:  How was there light upon the earth, when there was no sun, moon, or stars?

  1. 1 John 1:5 says, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that ______ is __________, and in him is no darkness at all.”

That light was from God, because God is light.

When God makes a new heaven and a new earth one day,

there will be no sun or moon there.

  1. Revelation 21:1 says, “And I saw a ______ ___________ and a ______ __________: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
  2. Revelation 21:23 says, “And the city had no need of the ______, neither of the ________, to shine in it: for the __________ of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the __________ thereof.”

God does not need other sources of light, because He is  light.

Question:  How is it with you?  Do you walk in the light, only when there are other sources shining around you?  Do you swear, smoke, lust, and drink alcohol when you are around certain people, but put on a different front when you are with Christians?

  1. Ephesians 5:8 says, “For ye were sometimes ________________, but now are ye __________ in the Lord: walk as children of __________.”

Note:  If you are saved, other people are watching you, to see if you are living a life of light, or a hypocritical life of darkness.

  1. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your __________ so __________ before men, that they may ______ your good works, and glorify your ____________ which is in heaven.”

Chapter 6

Genesis 1:4-5

  1. Genesis 1:4-5 says, “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And ______ called the light ______, and the darkness he called __________. And the evening and

the morning were the first day.”

Note:  As God created things, names were needed to distinguish one thing from another.  God named some of those things.  The light, He named, Day; and the darkness, He named, Night.  Later on, after God created Adam, He let him name many things.

  1. Genesis 1:5 says, “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the ______________ and the ______________ were the first ______.”

This is an extremely important verse in regard to

another false theory that would arise, called, the

DAY-AGE THEORY.  Once again, professing Christians

would compromise the Biblical account of creation.

God knew that this would happen, and thus He had this

verse worded in a precise way to refute that false theory.

The DAY-AGE THEORY  teaches that the 6 days of

creation were not literal 24 hour days, but were LONG

DAYS, each day lasting millions or billions of years.

Note:  Why such a ridiculous theory?  Because these people thought that the evolutionists had the facts on their side to prove that the earth was millions and billions of years old.  These people failed to take heed to the warning in Scripture about false science.

  1. 1 Timothy 6:20-21 says, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and ______________________ of ____________________________ so called:  Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.”

Note:  Remember, the word science means, “knowledge as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding.” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary).  Just because people label themselves as scientists or experts, that does not mean that they are dealing with true science at all (remember the hoaxes that we discussed earlier?).

The theory of evolution is not science.  It is an “unproved assumption.”

We do not have to try and force the Bible to leave space for millions and billions of years somewhere.

  1. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “__________ to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, ______________ dividing the word of __________.”

Note:  The problem with the people who believe the Day-Age Theory is that they do not study the Bible in context.  Just like we have to take people’s words in context, even so must we do with God’s Word.  If a person says, “My head is killing me,” then we must know the context of that statement.  Does he have an inoperable brain tumor (in which case, in a sense, his head really is killing him)?  Or does he just have a headache (in which case his head is just hurting him)?

We must study God’s Word, to make sure that

we do not take statements out of context.

Note:  People that believe the Day-Age Theory have taken the following verse out of context.

  1. 2 Peter 3:8 says, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ______ day is with the Lord as a ________________ years, and a thousand __________ as one ______.”

Note:  This verse is not referring to the Creation Week, but to the time of Noah, and applying it to lost souls today.  Notice the context (the verses before and after that verse).

  1. 2 Peter 3:6 says, “Whereby the world that then was, being ____________________ with water, ________________.”

Note:  That is a clear reference to the worldwide flood in Noah’s day.

  1. 2 Peter 2:5 says, “And spared not the old world, but saved ________ the eighth person, a ________________ of __________________________, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.”

While the ark was being built, Noah was not only a shipbuilder, but also a preacher.

He was a “preacher of righteousness,” a preacher who was preaching

that men needed to repent of their sins and turn to the Lord in faith.

Note:  The whole point of 2 Peter 3 referring back to the days of the flood was to show how longsuffering God is.

  1. Genesis 6:5-6 says, “And GOD saw that the ____________________ of man was great in the earth, and that every ______________________ of the thoughts of his heart was only ________ continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.”
  2. Genesis 6:12-13 says, “And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was ______________; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The ______ of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will ______________ them with the earth.”

Note:  Despite such wickedness, God was very longsuffering with those people, giving them a chance to repent for 100 years.

  1. We are given Noah’s age just before he received instruction from God to build the ark. Genesis 5:32 says, “And Noah was ________ ______________ years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”
  2. Then, we are given Noah’s age when the flood came. Genesis 7:11 says, “In the ______ __________________ year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”

Note:  So the reason that 2 Peter 3 refers back to the days of the flood, is to show that God is very longsuffering toward man.

  1. 2 Peter 3:8 says, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ______ day is with the Lord as a ________________ years, and a thousand years as one day.”

To try and apply this principle to other situations where specific times are stated,

would make absolute confusion out of the Bible.  For example, was Jesus’ body in the grave

for 3 days and nights, or was it there for 3,000 years before being resurrected?

The answer is obvious, it was there for 3 days and nights. Here is another example: did Jesus fast

for 40 days, or for 40,000 years?  The answer is obvious, it was 40 days.

WHEN SPECIFIC TIMES ARE STATED, YOU TAKE THEM AS LITERAL,

UNLESS THE CONTEXT SHOWS YOU OTHERWISE.

Note:  Now, looking back at Genesis 1:5, notice the precise language that God used to clearly show that the days of the Creation Week were literal 24 hour days.

  1. Genesis 1:5 says, “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the ______________ and the ______________ were the first ______.”

What does the word EVENING  describe?  It describes the GRADUAL DARKENING of the day into night.

What does the word MORNING  describe?  It describes the GRADUAL LIGHTING of the night into day.

Note:  When a day ends, God could have made it get dark instantly, just like it does in your house when you turn off the light switch.   God could have also made it get light instantly when the morning comes, just like when you turn on the light switch in the morning.

Why does it GRADUALLY  get light in the morning,

and GRADUALLY  get dark at night?  Why is it not

something that happens instantly?

The answer is, “Because of the EARTH’S ROTATION.”

As the earth gradually turns, the light gradually shines

on the part of the earth that is rotating toward the light.

In the same way, the part of the earth that is rotating

away from the light, is going to gradually get dark.

How long does this rotation take?  It takes

24 HOURS FOR ONE COMPLETE ROTATION.

There is your answer and proof as to how long

each day of the Creation Week was: 24 hours.

God made it very clear in His wording that these were LITERAL 24 HOUR DAYS by using the words EVENING and MORNING.  By using these words (evening—indicating the gradual darkening of the earth, and morning—indicating the gradual lighting of the earth),

God let us know that He caused the EARTH TO

START ROTATING THE VERY FIRST DAY of creation.

That means that from the very first day of creation, each day was a literal 24 hours.  So the Creation Week was a literal week of seven, twenty-four hour days.

  1. Psalms 119:160 says, “Thy ________ is ________ from the __________________: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”

  1. What are the first ten words of the Bible? _________________________________________________________________________________
  2. Reading through the Bible is very important.Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein ______ and __________, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is ______________ therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good ______________.”
  3. Romans 10:17 says, “So then __________ cometh by hearing, and hearing by the ________ of God.”
  4. Beware of people who say, “You need to think outside of the ______!” or, “God is not bound to a ________!”
  5. God warns us about those people in Isaiah 8:20, “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this ________, it is because there is no __________ in them.”
  6. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 says, “For such are __________ apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for __________ himself is transformed into an angel of __________.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
  7. Do you believe everything that you are told, or do you first read the Bible to see if those things are true?Acts 17:11 says, “These were more __________ than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and ________________ the ____________________ daily, whether those things were ____.”
  8. Jesus said in Matthew 26:53-54, “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the ____________________ be __________________, that thus it must be?”
  9. The Theory of Evolution has now been taught exclusively in schools for several generations, and its impact has been devastating. Psalms 11:3 says, “If the ______________________ be destroyed, what can the __________________ do?”
  10. Creation is the ____________________ of dealing with people about their souls. The reason that we have to answer to God one day is because He is the Creator of this earth and mankind; thus, He is the __________.
  11. The end result of teaching evolution is ______________, the belief that “there is no God.”Psalms 14:1 says, “The ________ hath said in his heart, There is ____ God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

What information did the College Board miss in their research as to why the SAT scores began dropping? They missed two important Supreme Court cases involving Madalyn Murray O’Hair, the infamous atheist. The first case was in 1962, when school-sponsored _____________ was thrown out of the public schools.  The second case was in 1963, when __________-reading was thrown out of the public schools.
  13. Proverbs 1:7 says, “The ________ of the LORD is the beginning of __________________: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
  14. Proverbs 9:10 says, “The ________ of the LORD is the beginning of ____________: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
  15. Why is it that man can survive naturally upon the earth, but that no other planet or moon seems to have the right conditions to do that?Isaiah 45:18 says, “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that ____________ the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be __________________: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”
  16. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the __________________ God created the heaven and the earth.”
  17. In this verse, the word beginning, is referring to the beginning of the __________, not to the beginning of God. God had no beginning, because He is eternal.
  18. Psalms 90:1-2 says, “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from ______________________ to ______________________, thou art God.”
  19. This fact about God having no beginning, is also a fact mentioned in regard to the Lord Jesus Christ. This proves that Jesus is ______ Almighty—not just a man or an angel.
  20. Micah 5:2 is talking about Jesus, and says, “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from ______________________.”

  24. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God ______________ the heaven and the earth.”
  25. That is strange that some people, who claim to believe in God, go on to regard the account of creation in Genesis chapters 1 and 2 as a myth, because Jesus referred back to creation as a ________.
  26. God created a ________—not a one-celled organism that eventually formed into a man. God created a ____________—not a one-celled organism that eventually formed into a woman.
  27. The theory of evolution is not real science. The word theory means, “an ________________ assumption.”
  28. The word science means, “__________________ as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding.”
  29. 1 Timothy 6:20 says, “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of ____________________________ so called.”
  30. A foundational doctrine of the faith is that God created the

heaven and the earth and all that is on it.  If you take away that doctrine, then you take away the basic reason why we must ____________ to God one day.

  1. Romans 1:25 says, “Who changed the truth of God into a ______, and worshipped and served the ________________ more than the ______________, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”
  2. That is the sum total of evolution: worshipping the creature (saying that we came from ______________), instead of worshipping the Creator (saying that we came from ______).
  3. Some professing Christians were afraid that if they acknowledged that they believed in the Genesis account of creation, they would look ignorant and foolish in the eyes of scientists. So what those people did was mix evolution and creation together. Their mixing came to be known as “________________ Evolution.”  They taught that God created matter, and then just let evolution form everything over millions and billions of years.
  4. If you cannot believe God as to how everything started in this universe, then how can you believe Him as to how everything is going to ______?
  5. Jesus said in John 3:12, “If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of ________________ things?”
  6. The Bible tells us how matter came into existence. Hebrews 11:3 says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the ________ of God, so that things which are ________ were not made of things which do ____________.”
  7. Psalms 33:6 says, “By the ________ of the LORD were the heavens ________; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.”
  8. Psalms 33:9 says, “For he __________, and it was ________; he commanded, and it stood fast.”
  9. That verse tells us how long it took God to create matter. It was ______________. He spoke, and it was ________.  That one verse  alone proves the idea of Theistic Evolution to be wrong.
  10. Another false teaching arose called the ______ Theory. This theory taught that between the first two verses of Genesis chapter one, there were millions or billions of __________.
  11. The Gap Theory falsely teaches that verse 2 is describing the earth after God supposedly __________________ a previous race upon it.
  12. Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by ______ man sin ______________ into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
  13. The Bible tells us the name of that one man, and it was

________, which means that there could not have been a previous race of people before Adam and Eve that fell into sin.  There is NO ______ between verses 1 and 2 of Genesis chapter 1.

  1. Genesis 1:2 says, “And the earth was without ________, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
  2. The word form means, “the __________ and structure of something as distinguished from its material” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). God had created the material of the earth (what scientists refer to as matter), but God had not yet formed the material into specific things.
  3. Genesis 1:2 says, “And the earth was without form, and ________; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
  4. The word void means “not occupied, vacant, __________” (Merriam-Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). The earth was empty at this point, because God had not yet filled it with His creations.
  5. Verse 2 is NOT describing an earth that God had just destroyed through a judgment (the false teaching of the Gap Theory), but an earth whose matter God had just created, but had not yet fully formed—not yet ________________.
  6. Genesis 1:2 says, “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the ___________ of ______ moved upon the face of the waters.”
  7. The New Testament makes reference back to this verse, showing proof that all men are without excuse for not believing in the Trinity, the Godhead—that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are ______.
  8. Romans 1:20 says, “For the invisible things of him from the ________________ of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his ______________ power and ______________; so that they are without excuse.”
  9. The Spirit of God (God the Holy Spirit) is not just a force, as some false religions teach. The Holy Spirit is the eternal ______.
  10. 1 John 5:7 says, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the ____________, the ________, and the __________________: and these three are ______.”
  11. Genesis 1:3 says, “And God said, Let there be __________: and there was __________.”

  13. How was there light upon the earth, without the sun, moon, or stars?1 John 1:5 says, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that ______ is __________, and in him is no darkness at all.”
  14. That light was from God, because God is light. When God one day makes a new heaven and a new earth, there will be no ______ or ________ there.
  15. Revelation 21:23 says, “And the city had no need of the ______, neither of the ________, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the __________ thereof.”
  16. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your __________ so __________ before men, that they may ______ your good works, and glorify your ____________ which is in heaven.”
