- If I did not have the money for my house payment. Yesr Nor
- If I did not have any money for groceries this week. Yesr Nor
- I would NEVER even consider such a terrible thing as ROBBING a BANK, no matter how tough things were for me. Yesr Nor
Would you ever get desperate enough to ROB from GOD?
How would a person rob from God? “Will a man ROB GOD? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In TITHES and OFFERINGS” (Holy Bible, Malachi 3:8, KJV). Let’s go down through the same set of questions again, and see if you have ever been desperate enough to rob from God.
- Have you ever been short on money to make your car payment, so you did not bring tithes and offerings to God that week? Yesr Nor
- Have you ever been short on money to make your house payment, so you did not bring tithes and offerings to God that week? Yesr Nor
- Have you ever been short on money to buy groceries, so you did not bring tithes and offerings to God that week? Yesr Nor
There are many Christians who would never consider robbing a bank—but they have considered, and have committed the crime of robbing God.
They would starve, before they would ever rob a bank. They would lose their cars and their homes before they would ever rob a bank. But they have robbed God when times were tough for them financially.
What does God do to a
Christian that robs Him?
“Ye are CURSED with a CURSE: for ye have robbed me..” (Holy Bible, Malachi 3:9, KJV).
No, this does not mean that a Christian loses his/her salvation and is cursed to hell. “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.” (Holy Bible, John 6:37, KJV).
Then how does God curse His children for robbing from Him? “Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and HE THAT EARNETH WAGES EARNETH WAGES TO PUT IT INTO A BAG WITH HOLES. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; CONSIDER YOUR WAYS.” (Holy Bible, Haggai 1:6-7, KJV).
If you have robbed God, then you know exactly what those verses mean, because you have experienced it firsthand. No matter what you do, and how hard you work, your money never seems to meet your needs. It seems like your paycheck goes into that bag with holes.
What can you do?
Have you brought upon
yourself a life-long curse
for robbing from God?
Be thankful that God is so gracious, because if you confessed to robbing a bank, it would probably mean a long time behind bars. Here is what God will do if you confess your crime against Him, and repent. “BRING YE ALL THE TITHES into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, AND PROVE ME now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” (Holy Bible, Malachi 3:10, KJV).
What is God’s storehouse today? It is the local church. “The HOUSE of GOD, which is the CHURCH of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (Holy Bible, 1 Timothy 3:15, KJV).
Christians that say, “I can’t afford to tithe,” will always have financial problems until they repent.
Tithing and bringing offerings to church are never going to help, if you are not truly saved. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were NOT REDEEMED WITH corruptible things, as SILVER and GOLD, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” (Holy Bible, 1 Peter 1:18-19, KJV).
“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have NO PLEASURE in the DEATH of the WICKED; but that the WICKED TURN from his WAY and LIVE” (Holy Bible, Ezekiel 33:11a, KJV). TURN to the LORD JESUS CHRIST right now, and ask Him to FORGIVE you, and to CLEANSE you, and to SAVE you.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God Almighty in the flesh. He is Master, Savior, and Messiah; the Creator of heaven and earth. He died on the cross for you, and gave His pure, sinless blood to pay your sin debt. The Lord Jesus Christ then arose from the grave the third day, proving that His blood fully paid for your sins. To be SAVED, you must CALL upon Him from your HEART. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED.” “For whosoever shall CALL upon the NAME of the LORD shall be SAVED” (Holy Bible, Romans 10:9,13, KJV).
After we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save us, then God instructs us to openly confess Him by getting baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. When we go under the water, it pictures death to the old life of sin, and when we come up out of the water, it pictures a new life serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes, I just asked the Lord Jesus Christ to save me, and I desire to now live for Him.
