If you live in an area that has 9-1-1 service, you can call that number for all police, medical, and fire emergencies. One number can help you with all of your emergency needs. There is also one call that can help you with your greatest need. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (Holy Bible, John 14:6, KJV)
Unknown Emergencies?
There have been many times when people’s homes have been on fire, and they did not even know it—someone passing by, or a neighbor, alerted them to the danger. Who is the Lord Jesus Christ?
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God; the Creator of heaven and earth, and all things in it. He is God Almighty in the flesh. Your good deeds cannot pay for your sins. “For the wages of sin is death.” (Holy Bible, Romans 6:23a, KJV) Jesus loved you enough to die on the cross, giving His pure, sinless blood to pay the wages of your sin. The proof that Jesus successfully paid the wages of your sin, is the fact that He arose from the grave. (Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:4b, KJV)
To be saved, you must call upon the Lord Jesus from your heart. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED.” “For whosoever shall CALL upon the NAME of the LORD shall be SAVED.” (Holy Bible, Romans 10:9,13, KJV)
Are you sorry for your sins? Then repent, and CALL upon the Lord Jesus Christ right now. ASK HIM to forgive you, and to cleanse you, and TO SAVE YOU.
After we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save us, then God instructs us to get baptized under the water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism does not save us—it is just the outward testimony that Jesus has saved us, and that we now want to live for Him. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4, KJV)
