Have you ever tripped

over something and fell?

Falling was the leading cause of injuries in 2017. (ConsumerNotice.org)  It is also the leading cause of eternal injuries.  Why is that?

The majority of people fall for the idea that you go to heaven by your good works.  The Bible calls that a “stumblingstone.”

“They sought it not by faith, but as it were by the WORKS of the law.  For they STUMBLED at that STUMBLINGSTONE” (Romans 9:32, KJV).  Is that also true of you?

“Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are FALLEN from GRACE.” (Holy Bible, Galatians 5:4, KJV)

The word “grace” means, “undeserved favor.”  “For by GRACE are ye SAVED through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: NOT of WORKS, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9, KJV).

None of us deserve God’s favor, because we are all sinners.  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Holy Bible, Romans 3:23, KJV).  What sins have we done?

Sometimes we do things that God tells us not to do.

Have you ever said a bad word?  Have you ever disobeyed your parents?  Then you have disobeyed God’s Law.  “SIN is the transgression of the law.” (Holy Bible, 1 John 3:4, KJV)

Sometimes we do not do the good things that God tells us to do.

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is SIN.” (Holy Bible, James 4:17, KJV)

Salvation from our sins

is only possible through God’s grace and mercy.

“NOT by WORKS of righteousness which we have done, but according to his MERCY he SAVED us.” (Holy Bible, Titus 3:5a, KJV)    The word “mercy” means that God “pardons us from the judgment that we deserve.”

What do we deserve for our sin?

“For the WAGES of SIN is DEATH.” (Holy Bible, Romans 6:23a, KJV)  But not just physical death.  “And death and hell were cast into the LAKE of FIRE.  This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Holy Bible, Revelation 20:14-15, KJV)

So what has God done

to show us grace and mercy?

Jesus paid that death penalty for our sins, when He died on the cross.  “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Holy Bible, Romans 5:8-9, KJV)  “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (Holy Bible, 1 Peter 2:24, KJV)

How do we know that Jesus successfully paid for our sins?

We know that, because death could not hold the Lord Jesus Christ—He arose from the dead.  “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 , KJV)

Who is the Lord Jesus Christ?

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God Almighty in the flesh.  The name “Lord” means “Master.”  Do you desire to obey God?

The name “Jesus” means “Saviour.”  Do you desire to ask Him to save you from your sins?

The name “Christ” means “Messiah.”  He is coming again in power and glory.  Do you desire to glorify God through your life?

The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, and gave His pure, sinless blood to pay your sin debt.  He then arose from the grave the third day, proving that His blood fully paid for your sins.

To be SAVED, you must CALL upon Him from your HEART.  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED.”  “For whosoever shall CALL upon the NAME of the LORD shall be SAVED” (Holy Bible, Romans 10:9,13, KJV).

Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ right now, and ask Him to FORGIVE you, and to CLEANSE you, and to SAVE you.

After we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save us, then God instructs us to openly confess Him by getting baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Holy Bible, Romans 6:4, KJV)

Yes, I just asked the Lord Jesus Christ to save me, and I desire to now live for Him.
