Is It Your Friends?
Are they the ones pulling your strings? Do they control you?
Who gave you your first drink of alcohol? Friends?
Who gave you your first cigarette? Friends?
Who gave you your first drugs to make you high? Friends?
Who enticed you to go out on your first date and be immoral? Friends?
Who enticed you to get your first tattoo? Friends?
Have you chosen the wrong kind of friends?
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” (Holy Bible, Psalm 1:1, KJV)
Is It The Devil?
Is it the devil pulling your strings? Is he controlling you?
This may surprise you, and it may even make you afraid—and it should. It is this, if you have never repented of your sins, and asked the Lord Jesus Christ to save you, then the devil can take you captive at his will.
“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God per-adventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the DEVIL, who are TAKEN CAPTIVE BY HIM AT HIS WILL.” (Holy Bible, 2 Timothy 2:25-26, KJV)
If you are not saved, the devil can take control over you at his will. That ought to scare you.
What do you think is causing all of these people who were once described as being “quiet” and “normal,” to all of a sudden go on murderous killing rampages shooting people? What do many people immediately say? “We need more money for mental health!”
This is not a MENTAL problem,
this is a SPIRITUAL probem.
What did the Lord Jesus Christ tell Simon Peter? “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.” (Holy Bible, Luke 22:31, KJV) In your own strength, you are an easy pushover for Satan.
Who can protect us from the devil? Just one—that is God. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Holy Bible, Ephesians 6:10-12, KJV)
Until you turn to God for salvation, you do not have that armor, and the devil is your father. “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning.” (Holy Bible, John 8:44a, KJV) Now do you understand who is behind all of these murders?
There is one thing that the devil cannot take control over you, and stop you from doing.
That is coming to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Holy Bible, Romans 10:13, KJV). “Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live.” (Holy Bible, Ezekiel 33:11a, KJV) “Saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart.” (Holy Bible, Joel 2:12b, KJV)
Who is the Lord Jesus Christ?
He is the Son of God; God in the flesh; Creator of heaven and earth. His name, Lord, means Master; Jesus means Savior; Christ means Messiah/King. He died on the cross for you, and gave His pure, sinless blood to pay the wages of your sin, which is death. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Holy Bible, Romans 6:23, KJV). The Lord Jesus Christ then arose from the grave the third day, proving that His blood fully paid for our sins. “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4, KJV).
To be SAVED, you must CALL upon the LORD JESUS from your HEART. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt BELIEVE in thine HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be SAVED.” (Holy Bible, Romans 10:9, KJV). “Sirs, what must I do to be SAVED? And they said, BELIEVE on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and thou shalt be SAVED.” (Holy Bible, Acts 16:30b-31a KJV)
After we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save us, then God instructs us to openly confess Him by getting baptized under the water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
“The eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.” (Holy Bible, Acts 8:36b-38, KJV)
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Holy Bible, Romans 6:4, KJV).
Yes, I have just asked the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive me and save me, and I now want to walk in that newness of life.
